Beautiful phone.. smile.gif Yeah, wanna ask something.
I couldn't find any related thread here about Nokia 7705 Twist. Will it reach Malaysia?
Looks uber cool!

is it twist? or swivel..
anyway it doesn;t look nice.. like a makeup box.. lolz..

It's a swivel actually.. It won't come to Malaysia. I ask Nokia, here's the email reply:

"In response to your inquiry, please be informed Ms. Nadia that it is unlikely that the Nokia 7705 Twist will be released in Malaysia as it is a CDMA type Nokia phone. Malaysia uses the GSM signal which is not supported by the Nokia 7705 Twist.

Kindly be advised that all new product launches are carrier and market dependent in all countries due to the tests carried out to ensure compatibility with network and government regulations.

Hope this answers your inquiry Ms. Nadia and have a great day!"

It seems Nokia 7705 twist using Maemo OS despite the similarities between this and N900. Wonder if Nokia wanna replace Symbian with Maemo. If that the case, then it's a bad start. Hopefully they don't abandon Symbian
*
Is Maemo OS better than Symbian? They are definitely trying to develop this OS more.

@Nokia 7705 Twist
Ditto. The phone only supports 800mhz & 1900mhz. That includes certain other countries like japan. It's more geared towards messaging group, certainly falls under the sidekick league.

Oh, that's too bad.. Already in love with the phone sad.gif
