Nokia optimize and improve resesitive touchscreen phone where people call it's an old technology. But it have several advantage then capacitive touchscreen. Try google some. I prefer both, but for now, I'm more into resestive then capacitive technology. Dunno why... but the feel of pressing really good. And who say resesitive were slow response? My N97 is very responsive anyway. About zooming, you can tap the screen and swirl it for zoom in and out. it's easy. |

QUOTE(finecut @ Aug 28 2009, 11:47 PM) but it would be a plus if it has multitouch and the leveling thing... with it there's more possible apps you can do with it. but not crappy apps like the ones for iphone got len900 got 3g? and there's no ngage for n900 aswell.. QUOTE As expected, it'll be on display at Nokia World next week before this quad-band GSM/EDGE, 900/1700/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA handset UMTS is 3G SOURCE About N-Gage, I think no. Since they use OpenGL 2.0 graphics acceleration, I'm guessing a new platform or a better graphic game will release This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Aug 28 2009, 11:05 PM |

symbian s60 v5 is still new and not boring,,, pls!!
i ike maemo, but i also like s60 v5 also. Added on August 29, 2009, 12:17 am QUOTE(aruja_69 @ Aug 29 2009, 12:36 AM) Let us do the countdown to N900 launched here......if you got a choice..which would u go N900 or Samsung i8910 16GB??? omnia hd is out coz too overprice in malaysia market. Rm2800 for 8gb? Pls la... I could get better offer then this. Nowadays 8gb and 16gb isn't sufficient.N900 can support many video codec plus no need to convert the video, max 48gb and etc. N900 is definitely worth to choose. QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Aug 29 2009, 01:38 AM) yeah s60 is not bad at all....one of the most powerful mobile OS out there....but the UI is not for everyone It's not full HD. it's 720p HD. Anyway, wats the point having Full HD on a small screen phone?Don't get me wrong...im loving it to death Bout Omnia HD...yeah its price is a bit steep...but dont forget it the oni phone out there supporting full HD vid recording In other word both N900 n Omnia HD will appeal to different set of market |

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Aug 29 2009, 01:45 AM) ooh sorry my bad...wrong info bout the HD recording If I want HD recording, better go for HD or Full HD Camcorder. Reason why, the vid HD recorder is actually poorer then those HD camcorder (well of course). So, I just want a regular or common piece of lense like Carl Zeiss 5MP which already suffice and no HD recording since phone won't keep up with HD camcorder afterall (maybe 7 years later will be) But that the main feature of Omnia HD...HD vid recording...mybe the vid is not meant to be viewed in the phone itself...think of it like a videocam rite |

QUOTE(finecut @ Aug 29 2009, 12:08 PM) but the thing i'm worried about is that iphone depreciate too fast, but i like the interface a lot... if i were u, i choose extra feature like gps cause its very important to me since im road blind. Regarding the interface, you'll get bored soon with iphone. So, depend on which is your top priorityas for n900, the gps is free! unlike iphone where u need connection to get to use the gps... and it's a multimedia hardcore |

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Sep 2 2009, 02:53 AM) from the video i saw earlier.. not very responsive ler.. i would expect something smooth like iphone.. not an iphone user though.. jz wonder how come iphone can be so smooth while other OS can't even though wif high processor speed and 3D accelerator.. y ar? wat makes iphone so different from other pda? the spec more or less the same... Spec wise, N900 beat iPhone anytime. Only touchscreen experience (N900 use ultra-sensitive resensitive while iPhone use capacitive) iPhone win hands down. |

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Sep 2 2009, 02:00 PM) I can hear many N97 user pissed off with Nokia by releasing this phone. I'm one of them QUOTE I wouldn't say iphone win hands down...in term of sensitivity yes iphone capacitive screen win but in terms of accuracy N900 pawns Iphone any time....in short both hve their own speciality....capacitive screen tends to be more sensitive while resistive ones more accurate....n not to mention the sensitivity on resistive screen is catching up with capacitive screen so we will see more of that in the future Hope there will be optical touchscreen or multi-touch resensitive phone by nokia This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Sep 2 2009, 02:27 PM |
