Well, if the official set is released in Malaysia, there's a high possibility that AP Set will drop alot

N900 is better in term of speed, spec, OS and very powerful. But compare with Motorola Milestone, N900 is thick, heavy, and the 3rd line keypad lack of space between the screen makes it hard to type and also, lack of application too.

Been using Motorola Milestone and have used a N900, I felt N900 is alot simple to use then the Motorola Milestone. If you willing to bare the thickness and heaviness then go with N900. If not, choose other phone la. icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: waiting for meego/maemo 6 phone icon_rolleyes.gif

Dude, android is way better than symbian.I don't think there is any android based smartphones with lagging issue.
*
But based on my experience, Symbian is alot simple then Android. And android do lag abit (currently using Motorola Milestone). I think Maemo > Android, but if its in term of application support, Android > Maemo. I think my Motorola milestone is slower then the N900 I used before.

If you're referring to Nokia Symbian, it lags because most of Nokia symbian lacks of ram/memory. The N97 mini seems smooth. It also depend on how many apps you installed (apps which use up your ram/memory), thus affecting the overall performance. A new formatted symbian should work smoothly.
Do you mean simple to use or the OS is simple?  tongue.gif

Simple to use. Why? When you open an application and want to open another application running simultaneously, just tab the task manager and tab again to the menu and choose the application, it's very simple and easy to understand. To open/close the application is very easy. Speed, spec, browser and etc is GREATER then the Android. But there are plenty things that need to be improve the N900/Maemo. You get more then what you pay, simple. To me, android is just better in term of application support and the UI. The Maemo > Android in usability.

Hehe, just clarifying because your previous post mentioned Symbian more simple than Android; It can be 2 meaning, so just to double confirm/clarify.

I guess probably the Android is still new, still need improvements and also probably need some time to get use to/familiar with the usability factor.

But for Symbian, it's true that it's a simple to use Smartphone OS compared to the others, it's user friendly and not complicated.
*
Yeah, Maemo and Symbian is simple to use. And it's alot practical compare with Android. And with android, I find it's abit difficult to use compare other OS phone out there. Maybe need time to get use to it (but first impression make me think otherwise), and if it doesn't please me for several months later, I'll get another phone especially from Nokia.

N98, N87, N8, N920, where de hell are you?????

i just reviewed this N900 in youtube, doesnt really diffrentiate itself from android's OS .especially with the multi touch,Nexus 1 still owning so far,but when i searched the "iphone 4G" ,darn it,the design looks so fantastic.wonder if someday the price for phones could beat all laptops price.

Hurm. Btw,can you pls be more specific, what is ur thought?

My thought, Android seems nicer and simple to use same as Maemo phone. Seriously, been eye on HTC Hero, HTC Tattoo, HTC Nexus1, Motorola Milestone and etc for long (before I get N900 and milestone).

And after bought the N900, my thought changed, the Maemo OS is seriously POWERFUL and probably better then theAndroid, but the thickness and heaviness just put me off and sold it last week. And now, I bought the Milestone and wanna test the Android, butmy first impression of the android when using it... seems to put me off.
