Version 100.XX is the oldest la.. Like window 98 in computer then come version 200.18.xxx which like xp.. Then now 300.xxx which is like vista.. Ok.. Oldest is the least consuming firmware as not much update insert yet.. The more update come out the the more consuming lor.. But in version 2 n 3 nokia claim they insert update to stablize the energy usage but.. Most user still reported drop in their battery life.. Well with greater enhancement battery level is expected to drop unless provided during the period u r on new set of battery for every firmware update then i think u might not feel much different..but overall it wont last more than 1day half if u r heavy user who is constantly using wireless,3g,edge,web browsing,email sync all day long.. But a good battery will last u through d day and only required u charge after u finish u work.. Which is like a constant 10 hour workhorse like urself.. If u r a light user, and ur battery dont last.. Mean u either didn install something properly, or ur battery or phone is at fault..

I am V1 user, and thinking to upgrade to the latest. Would you recommend to upgrade to the latest firmware? I am a heavy user, email, voice calls and GPS. Main concerns are hacked apps and battery life.

Bro, I have just upgraded. So far have no problem with my apps (finger crossed). Will see how long my battery can last.

energy profile show my idle  is 0.11w wow... around 20mins tested...

xavi, ur ion batterytimer doing ok? mine is supposed to be accurate now, i guess..feel better having this app as u know how many 'hours' you have left before battery die on you, quite accurate so far. sadly my average battery life is only 1d 20h only (as what the app says), but its all goood..

my e71 restart itself once in a while (as i notice, those i don't notice i don't know). maybe due to sms blocker program crashed, i think. but i don't really care, as long it don't restart itself while in use. firmware v210.

can re-install firmware? thought the updater only will install with the latest firmware.
