Thanks for the advice guys. Will try updating the bios and swap RAMS later.
Speaking of Reboots Fail. I have the same issue while overclocking with my OLD C2D E6300 before. Can OC to 2.7 GHZ and Prime 12 hour.......cannot boot after restart. Then I switch my rig entirely, MB , CPU , PSU, .... and the issue come back and haunt me... could it be a software - level issue ? Added on January 12, 2010, 3:38 pmOk, after updating the bios.....I have another issue. i can successfully boot now but CPU-Z and my benchmarks show that i'm running in 2.5 GHZ. All setting in BIOS shows 3.2 GHZ This post has been edited by king99: Jan 12 2010, 03:38 PM |

OK, i Found out that I cannot pass 3.1 GHZ ..... using bios V1.6.
whenever I try to OC 3.2 GHZ, the failled OC stuff come out. Added on January 12, 2010, 4:41 pmThe 2.5 GHZ showing issue is somewhat related to my inability to pass 3.1 GHZ. Whenever I manage to luck-boot at 3.2 ghz.....the 2.5GHZ shows in CPU-Z [/IMG] Added on January 12, 2010, 7:59 pmBtw, can anyone gimmi bios 1.2 - 1.5 ? Wanna try older bios to see if it's the same. This post has been edited by king99: Jan 12 2010, 07:59 PM |

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Jan 12 2010, 08:28 PM) your BClk*your multiplier is correct in CPUz (128X20 = 2.56ghz).. is your BClk set on 128Mhz? coz thats lower than stock :/ aside from CPUz.. what other application show you? 2.56 also?.. i ask this coz cpuz sometimes screw up the reading.. there was ones it showed my CPU is 5ghz Tried PC Wizard and it's reporting the stock clock correctly. Now will try OC it to see if same.... im starting to feel that your bios chip is screwed.. try RMA the mobo XD Added on January 12, 2010, 8:39 pmOk, even PCWizard showing my 3.2GHZ Clock at 2.5 GHZ...... But at Bios there it shows 3.2 GHZ, any other software to detect CPU Clock Speed and heck, even Window 7 own system properties showing 2.5 GHZ This post has been edited by king99: Jan 12 2010, 08:39 PM |

I set high performance......turn off anything to do with power in bios including the ones u mentioned.
It still show 2.53 GHZ ! The weird thing is, it only show when It pass 3.1 GHZ or at stock speed. In Stock speed the multiplyer go haywire with 9x 24x 23x Multiplyer when at 3.2GHZ....the performance macam 2.6 GHZ ( 3dmark Vantage ) This post has been edited by king99: Jan 12 2010, 08:58 PM |

Er, what is the '' POWER'' ratiing for your stock voltage i5 750 shown in CPU-Z
I have mine at 95W and running 3.3 GHZ at 62c stock. Weird thing is, when I Prime last time it shows 69c stock. |
