erm well.. but if you go and look at the i3 reviews @ anandtech about the clarkdale.. the remarks is ridiculously fun to overclock XD

he reached 4.3 on stock.. 4.8 on water.. and 6.2 on LN2 biggrin.gif

sigh i just suck at oc-ing. can't seem to find any reviews nor forums that discuss this mobo tho.

During OC'ing learn the key element of 'isolating'...When u understand how to isolate, then you have no prob to identify the cause of fail OC.. thumbup.gif

done near 4ghz with i3-530 and the results are soooooooooooooooo far away from i5-750 / i7-860 for 32m SPI. arggghh.

there's advantage in the dedicated core per thread and more cache.
*
LOL laugh.gif

SPI runs single core only lar Goldie....the lack of bigger cache may have some effect, but the ram speed and timing is the main factor when SuperPI'ing... thumbup.gif

oh..really? coz i read review of it state that it did not have cmos clear button..<--does this mean in order to clear d cmos, u need to take out the battery to reset it??
*
I've been doing that ever since...only now with GD70 i seldom take out the battery, but previously all my CMOS clearing procedure has involved jumper settings and battery dismount, you should try that wink.gif
