definately bro.those kitt just darn too pricey.WTH they put inside anyway platinum or gold maybe? anyone using venomous?is it good?still waiting for the guys to do some HS comparison for i5 and i7.

anyway just tweak my oc today for better temperature but i have to sacrifice 40mhz on my ram but gain higher clock and FSB.from 1440mhz to 1400mhz same timing cl 6 7 6 20.from 3.61ghz to 3.685ghz.Vcore from 1.265v to 1.226v kill 2c of my FLoad temperature at 75% fan speed.just cant tolerate 100% fan noise bloody annoying.

what cooler are u using bro. imo, venomous is overpriced. blush.gif

hey guys, i've got a question with regards to the P55 architecture.

Since the PCI-E controller in embedded in the processor which only has 16x lanes bandwidth, obviously it will max out the lanes in 1 or 2 cards configurations; 16x/0x or 8x/8x. My question is, could a 3rd card be able to run as physx? takes MSI GD65 for example, it has a physical open ended 4x PCIE slot, can it be used as a physx card while the other 2 main PCIE is being used?

looking at the diagram below, the P55 Express Chipset has 8x PCI Express x1. Obviously we cannot utilize all 8 lanes provided by the P55 as mATX board only has 7 slots (2 of which is connected to the CPU directly). Assuming i dont have any other devices connected, can the 8 lanes be dedicated to 1 pcie 4x slot as physx?

what i wanted to achieve is to run 2x4890 + 1x phyx on MSI GD65. achievable?

comments appreciated. notworthy.gif

hmmm.... im thinking if i should change the cooler? Using Tuniq Tower Extreme at the moment. On stock, the temp is excellent; 34C idle and load will be less than 60C

But its a totally different story when OC. bumped to 1.26vcore at 3.5ghz, temp shoots up close to 80C. Even disabling Intel Turbo and HT, temp still hovering at mid 70s on load. 1 thing i've noticed is that temp will drop back to 30s in a couple of seconds after i've stopped the stress test.

ive also noticed that vcore will be automaticaaly increased even when i set the memory divider to 6 (auto was 5). could this be becoz the memory controller is embedded in the cpu?

spend a bit more and get a better cooler than that.

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme is a good performer for under RM200.

yea, its really bang for buck. idle at low 30C and full load not reaching 60C on stock 860.

did blend stress test for about 1/2 hour, no issue. then gatal and adjust the clock higher. boot into windows at 4.2Ghz 1.36vcore but stress not stable.
will tune back to 3.8GHz and to a stress test. 8 hours izit? i know more is better, but can be less?

will post the details of settings later tonite. now in office. blush.gif
