using prime95 to stress and everest to check the wattage during load the proc consume max around 110W (2 core enable) while all core enable it goes above 200W+
idk whether everest is showing the true power consumption of the proc, someone can clarify this?
about all core enable and only 2 core enable,is it (mobo) really shutting down the other 2 core when we choose this option? does the mobo capable of doing this?

what cooler is good to buy with ~RM100-150?
plan to use it for core i5 750 with mild oc'ing ...e.g: not oc to 4ghz la.

Cooler Master Hyper 212+

RM100 or less for a new one.

Added on March 6, 2010, 6:42 pmbtw to anyone that use the MSI P55-GD65 mobo, when u overclock with all the power setting enable, does your vcore lower itself when idling??

mine stays at the voltage that i set it too and thats kinda bothering me.from all those time im with my old 775 setup i always enable those power saving feature and the voltage lower itself.

can anyone using the same mobo as mine drop a comment or something.

3.6ghz is not a problem i think but 4ghz is achievable.

yep all core i7 i5 quaddy is easy to achieve 4ghz...tried 4.5ghz b4 and cant tahan the heat eventhou using watercooling.
for hyper 212+ on i5 750 4ghz is quit hot actually...better play safe at 3.6ghz enuff for 24/7.
