i've x3450 ES and here is the setting for 3.6GHz in bios.

vcore : 1.2625v
vtt : 1.21v
vpll : 1.8v
vpch : 1.05v
vram : 1.66v @ 1600MHz 8-8-8-24

the prob is it wont stable even at 3.8GHz. can someone here share voltage setting for i7 860 at those speed? so i have reference to try.
*
if ur using 2sticks of ram set vtt to 1.25.also as for vore it shud be 1.3v.try from there and if u primed stable try lowering the vcore bit by bit.

QUOTE(styloe @ Feb 8 2010, 08:52 PM)
actually some ppl cant get that if got good batch of ram.since mine doing 1440mhz with team extreem LV 1600 cl7.kinda a waste so hehe "itching".

bro hilmiangah,..

occt and prime95 which is better?1hour occt same as 8hours of primed?
*
actually both use the same method iinm.

occt based on orthos which i think the same thing as prime.

best stressing method according to cstkl1

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Aug 30 2009, 09:45 PM)
most stressfull is prime95 x64 25.9 blend 5.4gb in windows diagnostic mode
u need to pass min 8-12 hours

take note u can pass linx even 100 runs but will fail the above

y u think in xs less than 20 ppl only has posted in the thread... its that hard.. as it will cycle ure pwm's capability
linx stress is like a off and on switch every 4-5 minutes..
the above is talking 8-12hours straight 100% load

i think so or at least thats my way of overclocking.

try 1.4v 1st and see if its stable and if it does u can always turn it down a notch.

haha.. mine is Core i5 750 running on MSi P55 GD80.
If i tekan my mobo's OC Genie, I heard can only reach 3.63GhZ. (and they use 1.4v)<---too high for liking.

If oc myself, can reach 4GHz right? But i don't really know how to play oc..

hahaha, yeah, I'm starting to get interested in Xigmatek products. They're quite good.
As for cooler, I am planning to get CM Hyper212+. Then i will try to oc and keep it at a stable 4Ghz on 1.35v like yours.

In the meanwhile.. I just gonna use OC Genie and leave it at 3.63Ghz on 1.4v....
I know the voltage is high, but i malas want to tweak anything.

I haven't used OC Genie yet. I read about it and decided that it might get pretty hot,
so I'm waiting for new HSF before I try anything.
I am only using regular Intel Turbo boost now and this is how it looks while stressed:

temps are already considered quite high right...?
