QUOTE(julene @ May 27 2010, 08:50 AM) Your original sets comes complete with what accessories and what colour is available? Can you clarify if the 5230 has GPS or A-GPS because I'm very confused about the two terms. Does it mean that the A-GPS require an active connection to a cell phone network for it to work?? It not, then I can always use the GPS without the SIM card, right? in tink the 5230 got a-gps...but no wifi..tats the trade -off between 5530,5800 and 5230

QUOTE(Clueless Sod @ Jun 9 2010, 09:19 PM) Got it overseas for around...350 converted? But no memory card. Headphones are absolute trash and will need to be replaced. Other than that it's fine as long as you don't try to port video on it from your computer to watch, because the narrow range of video formats/codecs/whatever it can run will drive you nuts. 350 aud?..euro?..usd?..

QUOTE(piumiu @ Aug 27 2010, 01:39 PM) its not as good as X6 as X6 is captive screen. But looking at the features of a 510 phone to 1200 phone. Its quite good. Most of the features are very similar. Phone respond also quite good but best to use it with stylus rather than finger. oic...just that the 5230 doesn't have wifi..

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Aug 30 2010, 11:27 PM) That's not a 3G camera. That's the proximity sensor - both 5230 and 5233 have it. Neither has 3G video camera... so the newer 5233 dun have gps eh?..

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Aug 31 2010, 09:55 PM) Not necessarily. 5233 relies exclusively on your data connection to fixate where you are. The "assisted" bit is kind of a misnomer, since it doesn't have any full-fledge GPS to assist to begin with. 5230 on the other hand has GPS hardware / chip built in, the data connection supposedly "assists" to fixate your position faster. if that is the case, both phone still incur charges for their gps usage?..like the data usage charged by digi/maxis/celcom.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Sep 11 2010, 08:01 PM) No charges but getting a satellite signal or lock on will take a very long time. Around 15 minutes for your phone to search for that without AGPS. oic..anyway, is there any way around from being charged for using GPS?...wat about using a proper gps devices?..

Install OVI PC Suite on your PC and download OVI maps of the country you wish to have (e.g. Malaysia) via the software - using your PC-based Internet connection. Your phone must be connected to the computer via PC suite.
