QUOTE(LS Lim @ May 29 2010, 12:24 PM) Hi, May I know what is the difference between Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5233? Is the retail package the same? 5233 does NOT have 3G. I bought it in Singapore early July but it was not until I arrived home that I noticed this lack of feature. Also, it has the pen-style stylus in addition to the plectrum-style stylus - 5230 only has the latter. I have since bought the 5230, also in Singapore. Black colour! I concur. Mine locks the position, without A-GPS, within a minute. But can be a bit inaccurate if you are indoors.

QUOTE(ping0613 @ Aug 23 2010, 05:35 PM) if not mistaken, 5230 has 3G camera at in front, 5233 din have. Correct me if i am wrong. That's not a 3G camera. That's the proximity sensor - both 5230 and 5233 have it. Neither has 3G video camera...

Not necessarily.
5233 relies exclusively on your data connection to fixate where you are. The "assisted" bit is kind of a misnomer, since it doesn't have any full-fledge GPS to assist to begin with.
5230 on the other hand has GPS hardware / chip built in, the data connection supposedly "assists" to fixate your position faster.

QUOTE(fastreader @ Sep 13 2010, 01:18 AM) how about.. Q2: can i have the option of downloading the maps into my phone/memory card, and then whenever i wanna serach for direction, i serach it in the phone memory without connecting to any internet/data connection?.. q3: for those dedicated gps, do they get charged too when they use it to navigate?.. Q2: Yes. Install OVI PC Suite on your PC and download OVI maps of the country you wish to have (e.g. Malaysia) via the software - using your PC-based Internet connection. Your phone must be connected to the computer via PC suite. Q3: No. Free navigation. This post has been edited by 9M-MAS: Sep 16 2010, 01:10 AM

Songs, I'm not sure. But you're right about using the map without incurring charges bit.
