hey guys.. i plan go get this phone.. what are the cons of this phone? and does this phone support garmin?

con is no wifi, no secondary camera but it got 3g and gps. 2MP camera

Ask yourself whether you need wifi and better camera or not.
If you need, the 5800 will be a better choice.
But price difference is RM350 more expensive for original set.

i dun really need it as i've already got a SE Aino which has wifi and all the other stuff i need..
the main reason im getting this is to replace my old k800i and for the free gps

talking about GPS..can someone help me with the following question tat i had with GPS pls..

Q1: if i use A-gps, telco charge me rite?...how baru can avoid being charged using gps?..

Q2: can i have the option of downloading the maps into my phone/memory card,and then whenever i wanna serach for direction, i serach it in the phone memory without connecting to any internet/data connection?..

q3: for those dedicated gps, do they get charged too when they use it to navigate?..

i read some of the dedicated gps thread here in LYn and still cant reli understand.

Just disable A-GPS and enable Integrated GPS to avoid any extra charge.

oic..so the map i can dl it onto my phone and then uses it anytime without incurring charges?..for example like transferring songs to my phone and listening to it free of charge?...can it b done the same for the maps thingy?..

Songs, I'm not sure. But you're right about using the map without incurring charges bit.

i'm using the songs loaded into the phone as a simile.. its ok..i tink i understand wat u meant. thanx a lot pal;!!

i just brought this phone recently...
sometimes there is this pop up saying there's update available...but the salesman who sold me this phone ask me not to accept this update...saying it will cause some error on my phone? is that true? i wonder why i'm advise not to perform update....weird

it's better to flash your phone with custom firmware, it will have boost! but problem it will void warranty.

I activated Assisted GPS but I took out the sim card, still can use the navigation.

how is it possible?

Question. Any difference if i get AP set, can i still update the map as usual? Or it's only for original set? Thanks
