Hai guys.
Wonderin if you guys could help me out.
I wasn't gona start a new topic about this but after being ignored for about a week now,
welll.;

My 360 got hit with the e74 error last year and it's
in the box collectin dust for almost a year now.

I always wanted to fix it but couldn't find the xclamp replacement kit anywhere
like the ones with the screws, washers, thermal paste n such:

Anyone can tell me where to buy these things?
Preferably a place where I can get to without a car (just public transport; LRT, bus, ...)

Hello,

is not necessary to purchase the artic cleaner. you can purchase any nail polisher or you even can try WD-40 might work as good as the cleaner.

as for the screws and washer I think is somewhere near jalan pasar? I forgotten the adress... hmm.gif

anybody here can assist him?

Actually Tech2 reballs the GPU. unsure.gif
Anyways, the screws and washers can be found in Jln Ipoh. I posted the address of the company in this thread:-

(it's probably buries in page 5 or 6)

But seriously bro, no matter how good you do your x-clamp fix, it will get 3rrod eventually. As lksing78 advised, it's better to send your console for a reballing.

3 month warranty really?
even for an unpredictable e74 error?

yea i know the fix isnt gonna be permanent since its an e74 error...
reballing is probably gonna be my last resort.
until then i think i'll try n do the xclamp n if it works, i'll just play it naked
with a big cooling fan above it...

neway i found ur post and i suppose there's not gonna be
any public transportation to get there is there...

don do anything to it 1st
as u can accidentally bent the board
by over screwing the clamp
as a result even reballing cannot be done to ur board

mmm~...
now dont know what to do.
already stripped down the box to the bear motherboard.
am still going to get the kit though.
and i'll be careful later not to overtighten the heatsinks.

anybody had done the reballing before?
want to know if u send it for reballing do they remove the xclamp afterwards?
That way I wouldn't have to do the xclamp fix and the whole thing would've been done.
