well. My display keeps turning green color.. Probably due to overheat on the GPU ..plus the thermal paste dry damn fast..

My shop fella help me  put extra thermal paste on the GPU heatsink to tahan the paste melting..Works fine again..

Then today ..the display turns greenish again..

Oh man !! mus put paste everytime like tat meh....

didnt update for a ver very long time!!!!

i even forgot how many set i have been fix... but when i check on my stock screw's and washer... oh my god!!! i bought 100 set of total and now left not more then 30 set!!!!!!!!!!

that's is about 4 months ago when i restock......

Now I try again it shows 0102 instead.I guess I'm going to need your help to fix this

In my opinion, for online gaming, Xbox is the best. PS3 is for playing single player game.

I own both console and my xbox is the 2nd ( the 1st xbox the lens was worn out ) and it's already 3rod for 4 times after a year +. I use x-clamp method and it's stil working. For how long more I dunno.

Even now, my disc tray when i close it, it won't close. I had to push it in order to close.

If say like I play high end game example gears of war, halo 3, cod 4 and etc, The screen show dot dot black all over the screen is what problem?

If for halo 3, the menu background is damn white. Can't see anything. While playing, all like damn bright and white.

If play games like pgr, PES and etc which low end, everything looks fine.

Can this be cure? Or is it gone for good?

The one who told you that doesnt even know what is going on with the technical aspect of the 360. Simply say changing the motherboard is just a gimmick to charge you extra. I've seen that so many times from experience and when the machine fails again and i open it up, it is either a heat gun method or just an inappropriate x-clamp replacement method.

My xbox 360 falcon unit is doing pretty well, until just recently. I can play it for hours perfectly without any problems, but its just that i can see white dots which appear and disappear like the oldies movies back in the 50s. No errors or what so ever. I need advice, should i send it for warranty to Singapore or should i sell this unit, and buy a jesper?

yosh all the rrod fan... any one know how can fix e74 problem... as mention on my previous post.. its look like the problem with the gpu, and after putting some heat over the unit it can work as normal until its cool again... any way can fix tihs... can remove xclamp do the job.. please answer.. tq

xclamp is not permanent fix . from my observation thermal paste memainkan peranan penting ( no matter what expensive thermal paste u use and covers the gpu chip but after a long 2 till 3 hours it will melt and thus 3 rod appear )  in making this 3rod shit thingy . i tested it on my 2 xboxs ( both i buang di tong sampah ) and now im on my 3rd one . hopefully it will be ok . if still this shit happens then i have to burn all the games and tanam the consoles to the ground.

E74 1022 this weekend after close to 2 years of use for my xenon box.

Tried multiple AV cables, and the error is displayed quite clearly on screen, so it's not the cable. Screen showed vertical purple artifacts before the machine died.

Anyone know where to get those M5 screw sand M6 nylon washers to do the x-clamp replacement?

I've got the box apart quite neatly, and have cleared off most of the original thermal gunk. That stuff is quite messy. Just need the screws and washers to sort it out.

In the meantime, shopping to do for a jasper...

EDIT: nvm, I now know it's Advance Nut & Bolt, Jln Ipoh.

EDIT2: picked up the screws and washers today. Battled the bunch of sun-baked and greasy-handed contractors waiting there to get them; RM4 altogether haha. Cleaned off the original crap as well as I could and applied Tuniq TX-2. Baked the system with both heatsinks on, the shroud off, and 3 fans blowing on the GPU heatsink. The CPU heatsink got quite toasty after 15 mins, so I powered off, and stuck 2 fans on the CPU sink for a bit. And then I booted up, and saw the green lights circle, and the system asked for an update Achievement unlocked
