iPhone Generation : 2G 8GB
Unlocked : Software unlocked
Current Firmware : 2.2
iTunes Version : 8.1.10
PC/MAC : PC
Problem Encountered : When the phone auto shuts down cuz of low battery, i tried to charge it, but it won't charge and only shows this (while charging) :

Even when i tried to charge using the laptop, it still shows this, and wont charge.

Is this a usb cable or phone problem?

TQ for any help provided.

yes im having the same problem as u, tried downgrading to 2.2.1 but problem is error 20, 1600 and others. any sifu here can help us all 2g poor user..

here is my solution that i tried..
1. restore to 2.2.1 (using iTunes 8.1) n Jailbreak it.
2. Update to 3.0 (using iTunes 8.2) (not restore) and Jailbreak it using RedSn0w.
3. Don't install any app that support Push Notification.
4. Don't use Push Mail (instead Manually fetch)
5. If you use MobileMe (Switch off the "Find My iPhone")

with these, my battery back to normal, and I can receive calls..
