iPhone Generation : 3G
Unlocked? (or Part Number): Official Unlock
Current Firmware : 3.0
iTunes Version : 8.2
PC/MAC : PC
Jailbreaking software : -
Problem Encountered : Initially I could not charge the phone. Instead of showing the lightning symbol it showed the plug symbol and won't charge. And soon it ran out of battery. Basically I was ready to send back and removed my sim. Tried to charge again and it works. It went fully charged quite fast. And now it's running out of battery very fast. Without even using it, it went to half bar even before half the day.

Update : Also I notice that it gets hot even if I am not using it.
Update2 : Yesterday, I've changed back to my old phone. I've switched off the mail, switched off wifi and a couple of things and charged it. Seems to be working fine now. Meh... don't really know which one was sucking up all the power. LOL I guess I have to eliminate it one by one

Read at a few places where they had this problem. But no solid solution to it. I was wondering if anyone have this problem. I think I have it when I updated to the new 3.0 Firmware. Not too sure if it's the cause. Anyone having the same issue ?

hmm.gif What should I do to fix / test this before doing anything further like exchanging etc. ?

My AP mobile app is acting weird.
It shows the word "off" on the decription in the push notification setting.

When I tap on it to enable sounds, alerts or badges,
It displays nothing.

I restart my phone but the problem remains.
I thought AP mobile supports push notification? Weird.

called Celcom CS about it? AFAIK, MMS charges is based on per MMS. that's for Maxis and should be applicable to all telcos.

I got a simple question but yet I still do not understand.

What is SSH and why do you need it? Before anyone ask me to read the other post...I just wanted to know whether I got it right.

SSH allows you access to the Iphone root directory to do whatever..copy files to Iphone? But can you still do it with Iphone Browser or the other one (cant remember the name...i install that)...It is simplier to use than SSH, right? What i am missing about SSH???

When i install cydia it require us to install essential upgrade and it include SSH...so I can install or remove application via cydia. So, what is fuss about installing mobile terminal and doing all the SSH stuff?

Anyway, a wise man told me that if you dun understand something, that means you are not missing out....I did try to understand the whole SSH thing and just can't find what is the benefit. I have given up since but just for knowledge sake to know what all this are about.

OK...after reading through more site to understand SSH...i got it. I still don't think it is a MUST for me...but that is me.

However..one more question. I realize i can download cydia application from some of the popular repo from my PC. Then the questions is can i install the application from PC to iphone? I know you can transfer via SSH but dun you need to somehow install it.

I know it is easier to just install via cydia from my iphone....But no harm asking and knowing more.

Manage to find a tutorial to do this without having your iphone connected to cydia via wifi. Doing everything on a PC and install it to the iPhone. For the benefit of the community....smile.gif Will try it tonite. Do it at your own risk.
