thr is one option... settings>general>reset>erase all content

but makes me want to wonder y he doesnt want 2 restore...

here is my solution that i tried..
1. restore to 2.2.1 (using iTunes 8.1) n Jailbreak it.
2. Update to 3.0 (using iTunes 8.2) (not restore) and Jailbreak it using RedSn0w.
3. Don't install any app that support Push Notification.
4. Don't use Push Mail (instead Manually fetch)
5. If you use MobileMe (Switch off the "Find My iPhone")

with these, my battery back to normal, and I can receive calls..

I accidently put restriction code on my Iphone 3g, now i cant sync apps edi..... how i retrieve the code bac?? Tried restoring oso no use...

the u got no choice but to restore.......put your i3g in DFU mode n restore

I tried edi when i upgrade to os 3.0

then can it be upgrade..... i'm suggesting manually put d iphone in DFU mode n restore (u may lost all your data)

I pressed restored when update to os 3.0, not press update....

i think the buyer wans it to be jailbreak

my friend have just unlocked his iphone 3g ver 3.0. then, after he sync with his laptop, the phone automatically lock. anybody know his prob? is the unlocked iphone cannot sync with itune to transfer songs?

if ur iphone 3g is unlocked then u can just switch with other sim. unless u restore or upgrade then u have to unlock it back again.

ur friend just upgraded to 3.0, i guess he never re-jailbreak and unlock the set back using ultrasn0w.. i m not sifu here.. but just trying to help.. heheh

Sigh. Dont people read or watch the keynote anymore? This is not like some crappy Nokia phone model launch where new model replaces old models and the old model drops in price. Once the 3G[S] models are announced , the old 3G models enters its EOL (End Of Life) cycle, and as mentioned during the keynote, only the 8GB 3G model survives the axe.

Only this new release with Apple wanting to keep an entry-model iPhone to cater to the newcomers to chose from, makes them keep the 8GB 3G model.

Unlocked? (or Part Number): Software unlocked, redSnow to be exact

Current Firmware : 3.0

iTunes Version : 8.2

PC/MAC : PC (Window XP)

Jailbreaking software : redSnow

Problem Encountered : Just updated to 3.0 and just when i thought everything is all and well, i got this problem. Applications don't show up after sync-ing! What strange is that it didn't happen to all applications. I noticed that this only affect apps that have been installed when i was in 2.2. Apps that have never been installed in the device previously do not show such behavior.

I am wondering what's wrong. Read some where that it could caused by the use of Categories before this. The apps that I am trying to install was 'hidden' in a Categories' folder previously. Perhaps that is why there is no problem with new apps because they were not 'hidden' before this?

Any thoughts?

Steps Taken So Far : Install/uninstall a million times. No luck. Tried downloading FB from AppStore but stuck at 'Installing' forever.

Other Information/Remarks: 1. Under 'About', apps installed showed 2. Only 1 icon appear in Home screen. 2. FB settings are available in Settings screen.
