No voice control for iPhone 3G with firmware 3.1 update. Not really a major update in 3.1, so stick to 3.0.1 for the moment

Then opt for Iphone 3GS.

Haha, I went and asked about eh i3Gs, they said need to wait for one month coz Maxis doesn't want to take in too many stocks, what a lame excuse xD Furthermore, just bought Sennheiser IE8 customize silver cable, Sennheiser HD650 and Creative Zen X-Fi within 1 month.... Will the applications and game saves be deleted?

if you bought your iPhone from maxis, go ahead and update.

3.1 is only OFF LIMITS if you have a jailbroken, software unlocked phone.

no bro...just make sure u backup b4 the update, n then when u restore ur backup, all will remain same ie, ur call log, sms, games except, the fw...

I updated my jailbroken iPhone 3G to 3.1 today. My phone is official unlock. However, what i find strange is that now, i have the battery percentage displayed (which is a feature that is not available on 3G, unless you jailbreak).

Anyone experience the same thing?
