actually already change to new simcard. previous simcard got registration failed. then now facing this problem. 3G function already off since got the hp.

how come my iphone din show the 3G at top left side like the photo ?
only got "E".

Hm....guys, I already upgrade my firmware to OS3.0 for quite some time already,and today finally try to Jailbreak it.
So I follow the steps on iclarified, and JB it.

and when i finally done JB it, my iphone cant seems to find any wifi network.It just wont detect any wifi network. I got a wireless router at my home, and my macbook can detect and connect to the network, but my iphone just cant detect it!

any help?

Apple posted a support document to help those having Wi-Fi issues with their iPhone or iPod touch.

Since you have a Mac, i would highly recommend you to use Pwnagetool to do all your Jailbreak. I have not encounter any error with Pwangetool JBing any iPhones unless it's a hardware malfunction.

hm....i read it, and my iphone did show the wifi address, just that I cant find any wifi network

i then try to follow the steps on "http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398?viewlocale=en_US"

but when i click other network, it only show me the option to type in the network name and security. not like last time can key in those DHCP and stuff shown as my link above.

i am trying to restore my iphone again now using windows @@
if fail then i will just have to use mac, meaning i had to redownload the IPSW file again as i dont have a thumbdrive!!!

Downloaded BeejiveIM 3.0 with Push, IM+ 3.0 with push on a jailbroken Iphone 3G. No luck. Never work.

Once work but push after 10 hours the message received...any idea?

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Import SIM contacts

before this, 1st jb, i receive it..

Please refer to the pinned threads for MMS settings for different providers.

My Iphone 3G also had problems MMSing but after reentering the settings after unlocking, it works fine.

Check SETTINGS>Messages to see if MMS is enabled or not.

Hi. my iphone hanged for half an hour already after i installed apps from cydia.

it just hang at the page of "Reload Springboard" there.. Was thinking to do a restore but ..... i could not back up the files inside my iphone to my computer. it says the backup could not saved in computer leh.

anyone can help ?

Settings>Messages, i only have show preview and repeat alert.. nothing else..

try set it in DFU mode
push the power button for 10 sec
without releasing the power button, press home for 10 sec

it should be ok after that....

try using ssh or if your wifi is off use diskaid and copy your folders to your computer

copy /var/mobile/Library/AddressBook to your computer. This contains your contacts. While you’re at it you may want to copy all these:

/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook - Contacts
/var/mobile/Library/Calendar - Your calendar
/var/mobile/Library/Notes - your notes database
/var/mobile/Library/Safari - your bookmarks and cookies
/var/mobile/Library/SMS - your text messages.

That means you have to reenter your MMS settings for it to work.

go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>CELLULAR DATA NETWORK>

look at the settings there, and refer to the pinned thread on settings for different telcos.

Reboot your iPhone.

I figure it out after refer to custom carrier bundle.. i didnt do the .ipcc file.. now its work just fine after reboot..

but once i click into setting...couldnt find mail contact and also import contact from sim...how?? download application from cydia?

U don't need a JB phone to be able to find this SIM Contact information.

Go to Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendar --> Import SIM Contacts.

I suspect you aren't using a legal copy of IM+ or BeejiveIM. I've both applications and have just tried the push on it and am not having any issues.
