I am sure some will disagree, but anyone with any ideas. I already took the font from the older version (5.00.50) and copied over the font in the newer version. But I still have the new font?

Not to be one to promote, but e-trade told me a while ago that there will be a price drop to 1030 but the accessories will be cut, officially by Nokia. So I guess the price you got is ok, but as many of us on this forum know. Can't beat e-trades prices. smile.gif

Yeah same here, but as mentioned by j-slade, the 5.00.60 TW edition has some crappy font. I have already updated. But when the official comes out will be updating to that version.

After testin the garmin 5.00.60 here is what changes i notice :

New:

= New font. Not as nice as the one before.
= Options for pictures. No idea what this is for yet
= 2 new routing options. No idea what this do.
= Doesnt crash anymore when browsing map
= I feel its much faster than before. Just psychological effect maybe....
= Maybe i just nvr realize it but i now hav the map of the entire world

Disappointed at:

= The cursor still runs everywhere. Even when stationary it when stupid up n down.
= Related to stupid cursor problem which cause it to think i'm on the wrong road and it began recalculating my route.
= Still no general search.
= Still no more advance avoidance options
= Still no junction view

Overall.. not bad la.. coz the more important issue they have resolve which is crashing when browsing map. This is enough to make me happy

The pictures are for the pictures that have been geotagged. This can be done when you take a picture and select the option to geotag. I think then you can click on the picture and navigate to that picture. Have not tried yet, but my geotagged pictures come up first when I select that then all the other pictures in the gallery.

Bro really sorry to hear that. Mine says 4.88 gb. But thank god on unlimited data plan. My suggestion is clear the packet data counter each time the new bill starts for you. And check it periodically. I had to do it prior to going on the unlimited data plan. This is for maxis. But for celcom, even for unlimited you better track via log. If not after 5 gb they will throttle your speed.

Not sure if capdase has matte, but I am using the matte Nsix that i got from vearn. So far so good. Everytime I think there is a scratch, i wipe it off and the sp is as good as new. It is a big change from clear sp. But the difference in touch takes some time to get used to.

I agree, tried changing the font folder with the font folder of 5.00.50, but that did not work. The font is still the new font which is really bad. Anyone know how to change the font?

Ok guys, for those of who have not updated to Garmin 5.00.60. Well I guess you are waiting cause of the font. However there is one really cool new feature for 5.00.60. Say you take a picture using the camera and enable:

option -> settings -> show gps info -> ON

this will geotag the picture that you are taking
Then you go into garmin 5.00.60 and then go to

settings - > my photos -> select the photo that you just took -> GO

So if you have already geotagged the pic, you just click go to that pic. This is a really cool new feature.

edit: if this feature was already there in 5.00.50 then oops, seems new to me. whistling.gif

Think you all should confirm with e-trade, he did mention to me last time i met him that the accessories will be cut and the price reduced, so ask him. As all already mentioned, he is a good seller.

If you guys like themes, go check out the themes that were made by NCA, he has a lot of great themes. My personal favorite is his Se7en themes. Great icons included.

Hey guys,

I just read on another forum. Some guy was searching on ebay and found this:

it is a 2400 MAH battery for our phone. Comes with a back cover too. I am not sure if it is really worth it and if it won't explode, wink.gif but sure seems cool. Cause lets face it, the batt life on our phone is not great.

Yes it does, I agree. . . but the battery life is really bad. Nowadays with 3g on all the time, cause using maxis unlimited... by the evening i have to charge.

Not fully reviewed there. Just discussing in their forums. It looks bad but really thinking of getting it, cause of the poor battery life now, just worried it will damage my phone.

Have you downloaded vehicles from garmin online? If you have not done so go here:

http://www8.garmin.com/vehicles/bundles/allvehicles.html

It is official and free from garmin. Then create a vehicle folder in your garmin folder and drag the vehicles that you want. Then do the steps mentioned above.

Hey guys,

ever since I upgraded to 5.00.60 garmin xt I am having trouble to connect to the satellites, even using a-gps. Does anyone know which folder contains our own favorites that we have put in. Because I want to downgrade to 5.00.50 but I don't want to lose my favorites. Please guys need help. Thanks.
