with v30 the problem seem to been solve or has been minimize

After testin the garmin 5.00.60 here is what changes i notice :

New:

= New font. Not as nice as the one before.
= Options for pictures. No idea what this is for yet
= 2 new routing options. No idea what this do.
= Doesnt crash anymore when browsing map
= I feel its much faster than before. Just psychological effect maybe....
= Maybe i just nvr realize it but i now hav the map of the entire world

Disappointed at:

= The cursor still runs everywhere. Even when stationary it when stupid up n down.
= Related to stupid cursor problem which cause it to think i'm on the wrong road and it began recalculating my route.
= Still no general search.
= Still no more advance avoidance options
= Still no junction view

Overall.. not bad la.. coz the more important issue they have resolve which is crashing when browsing map. This is enough to make me happy

Thanks for the tips... i shall try later. But somehow this new font i think is abit easier to read

install the older version 5.00.50. Its more straight forward. Coz it took me a few try wit 5.00.60 wit multiple failure before i can install it. The guide to install it is available everywhere on the net.. just google for it.

yup.. reformat ur card again. And always make sure when u disconnect ur card from ur pc, u safely remove the usb connection first.

Is this the larger capacity one? But i saw someone posted here the picture.. its HUGE need new casing.. and surely no epik case to fit it liao

I nvr tried it.. but this i might suspect is a feature not a bug. My previous PDA also hav this function. When the battery is about to die, all non essential program and function shut off. Means no wifi, no bluetooth, screen to dim etc etc

LOL... u know wut happen when i put it on the double tap ar... at first i think it was a cool feature until i wanted to use my garmin. I mount on my car and everytime the thing shake my phone off since then i disable the double tap options d.

i saw the video on youtube about this new firmware... it was demo on an n97. There were no mention of 5800. I duno why the website is sayin its for 5800 too...

I feel tht out phone has been left out to die in term of software enhancement. we have the worst in term of firmware enhancement ... just look at our homescreen Its really f**kedup

yea.... since i own this phone. ive been usung handy shell for homescreen. alto kindda sux. at least its much better than the nokia's one. if u see symbian v5 for samsung. the interface for homescreen is damn cun. and best of all.. they hav a video play that actually plays divx

1. open garmin outside of ur car until u get a gps signal. open the gps info page to see signal strength. take note of it.
2. go inside ur car. compare that signal when ur outside the car.
