sorry but i really think your solution doesn't help the guy in the earlier post hahaha
he wanted to off 3G internet to save bill, not to save battery.
To the original post guy, u can differentiate what type of connection you are using by checking out the connection icon ... make sure it is the wifi icon not the 3G or 3.5G or 2G or anything else. Did you upgraded to v30 recently ?? just curious
Yup, I already upgraded to V30. I always checked the connection type (icon) before every usage. I also set the phone to ask for connection every time it need internet connection (update software, maps....etc..).
Actually, this is the 2nd month the bill more than average. At the same time, it also been 2 months since I installed wireless router for my home network. But last month because I out station a lot, I use the 3G with the daily or weekly broadband unlimited service. So, the bill is accepted although if calculate correctly, the total bill shouldn't reach RM300. It the same as I'm not subscribe to the daily and weekly package because even with the 4 weeks subscription, the total only RM80 (RM20/week) or RM180 (RM6/day).
But this month, after getting last month bill, I carefully not to use any 3G service except for two video call to my supplementary line (it suppose to be free). I only connect to WLAN not 3G internet. So, RM300 is outrageously high for normal usage. I even set the limit to RM100

.
Well khew82's solution probably is the best way because other than video call and 3G internet which I rarely use, I don't need 3G.
