Thx a lot for sharing babezane, but can you tell me approx. the price range for the eyeliner?
there are few types of eyeliner right? hmmm, those i saw a lot of ppl using is the eyeliner which requires a brush to apply it,what's that called? if i want to try mac makeup, when i enter the store, then how would the staff there approach me? because whenever i pass by mac store, all the staff there look cocky tongue.gif i don't know that's what i feel about all Mac makeup staff laugh.gif hahahaha

There's a few times of MAC eyeliners. Depends on whether u want a pencil, gel or liquid eyeliner.

1) Fluidline eyeliner - This is a gel liner, and has good staying power. Downside is u need to buy a brush to use the gel liner. If u plan on not spending too much, then u might go over budget. Unless u get a brush elsewhere.

Or maybe u can try a non mac gel liner. Maybelline, Kate has gel liners that are readily available in Watsons or Guardian. U can check those out. The Kate one comes with a brush, not too sure abt the Maybelline 1 tho. But again those brushes aren't that great for eye lining.

2) Liquidlast eyeliner - This is a liquid liner, and SUPER DUPER good staying power, but some ppl complain it is difficult to remove. Personally, if u use an oil based makeup remover, it comes off well enough. Only complain i have, is i dont really like the brush that it comes with.

3) Technakohl Eyeliner - This one is not bad. But cos u can't sharpen it, sometimes when u want a thin line, its quite difficult.

4) Kohl power Eyeliner- I'm not too sure about the exact name of it, but this one tends to smudge very easily on me. And i'm quite sure this one was LE also.

5) Penultimate eyeliner - This one is like a liquid eyeliner but like in a tube sort of like a pen type thing, but with a brush as a tip. This one creates a really thin fine line. I like this. Not sure if this is LE or still readily available.

Lately however, i like using a black eyeshadow as my eyeliner. So if u're ok with that, u can get carbon eyeshadow from MAC, that would cost RM63 if i'm not wrong. The rest of the eyeliners would be RM70 - 80 i think. If u want to know first before walking into a MAC store, u should call them up to check first. smile.gif

i think the best thing is u should go down to your nearest MAC counter or store and see which one u prefer. If the MAC girls are being "cocky" then u should just walk out, cos afterall when u buy from them, i'm pretty sure they get commission from the sale.

wow wow wow!!! THX A LOT SO MUCH glassdoll for sharing!! its so detailed!! thumbup.gif
Now i think roughly i have an idea about MAC make up,i don't like visiting any stores without doing my homework/research,because i will be very blank and always ended up buying useless things, burning my pocket. ><

wow, really thx for sharing your experience here GlassDoll,im really appreciate it biggrin.gif I'm using clinique makeup, more to natural make up la,not so grand like MAC make up,but sometimes certain function i need to have thick makeup, and always MAC is the one which gives me this feel that its a brand for thick make up,so i would like to try it.

Well i prefer to have a thicker eyeliner,as it will enlarge our eyes in my opinion. i tried thin eyeliner, doesn't make much difference. previously I tried Revlon pencil crayon eyeliner which was recommended by my friend, its nice but til the end of the day, always it tends to smudge like i have a pair of serious panda eyes as i have eyebags, but it doesn't really affect my friend because she doesn't have eyebags,zzz...

anyhow, what do you mean by LE here? sorry im stil newbie tongue.gif

LE is limited Edition. MAC comes out with a lot of 'sets' or collections every couple of months like Hello Kitty, ColorCrafted, Dame Edna, MACFafi... and most of the colours in these collections are only for a short period of time. (Volcanic Ash Exfoliator how I miss you!)
Basic rule with eyeliners:
Pencils for newbies cos they are easy to handle and quite forgivable. Bad thing is that they smudge very well XD
Liquid liners have good staying power and intense colour. Bad thing is that sometimes too sharp the line cos some people want a softer look. And you need a good makeup remover to get it off.
Gel liners are like love in a small tub. Lines well, smudge proof, can be hard or soft look. Bad thing is that it usually cost more than other liners and it needs a brush to apply ( i see this as a good thing actually cos it makes things more hygienic).
If you have eyebags go talk to the Shop Assistants (SA) for some undereye concealer. MAC has good stuff for that. Even if you aren't going to buy it, it's nice to see what you look like when you conceal your eyebags ^^
The Midvalley MAC shop (ground flr) is a bit "cocky". I like the Malay Girl from Pavillion MAC (can't remember her name but she's super helpful everytime I go there) and the KLCC ones are usually very friendly in the afternoon time just after lunch (maybe cos they bored and not much customers ^^).
GOGO Shopping! I recommend fluidline o.o-b You can compare it with the Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliner but I get the feeling you'd like the MAC one more as they have a larger variety of colours ^___^

Fluidline eyeliner is good! thumbup.gif

i've always use pencil liner but it does not last long n smudges after some time. i was quite skeptical of using gel liner in the beginning, one reason, it's troublesome but once the make up artist told me some few tricks on how to apply gel liner, no regrets ever since.
