In a way, Gundam designs have been particularly simple, compared to let's say, Armored Core. It's easier to find smooth surfaces on a Gundam than a Core due to the lack of details, comparitively. I mean, just look at the 00 Gundam design. Obviously it was designed with poseability in mind when Kunio Okawara drafted it. No waist armors, no ankle armors, etc. The ability and ease of molding it into a model kit is far more important than the complexity of the design. Although i do agree some Gundam kits have been rather impressive in design.
Construction is simple in the sense that it requires you to repeat the same technique of cutting, shaving and snapfitting over and over again, not the amount of time used or the number of pieces involved. Just look at how many people bashed the PG 00 Raiser. Construction-wise, some even say it doesn't deserve the title Perfect Grade.
Since wikipedia can be edited, perhaps you would be nice enough to make that paragraph accurate for all readers? Thanks
