Unicorn stayed fairly true to the original lineart (although the forearm sabres were a late addition compared to the very first design released), while the Sinanju got additional gadgets like the shield and beam axes that weren't present in the first place. For what it's worth, Katoki made subtle changes to the Sinanju such as redesigned rear thrusters, rifle, and tons of decals, which made it look much more refined. If Katoki gets his way in the Unicorn MG line, he'd stick to staying true to his lineart rather than send everything into the slimming centre and I expect the same case with Kshatriya.

Hmm IMO. Katoki lineart more or less already conforms with how many MG look nowadays (not too fat, just good). For example, Unicorn and Sinanju will look weird if their already-slim design were slimmed more. That's why model kits of mecha designed by Katoki rarely differs from the lineart (one good example is Endless Waltz kits).

Hmm, i agree, because it's Katoki Hajime cleaning up his own design. So there wouldn't be much radical changes as seen in the Ver. KA line of model kits, unless it has gone through another designer's hands, like Kanetake Ebikawa or Junichi Akutsu.

Well, i kinda miss the early part of the manual where they show the conceptual illustration. They don't have it anymore in recent models cry.gif

True, but it must be noted that he was redesigning Kunio Okawara's design. Hence the radical change. laugh.gif

But the 'change' that i was referring to in my earlier post is with regards to the initial conceptual illustration and the end model kit. nod.gif

In Japan you could do that. But for here, it would probably be cheaper to buy the full set. Out of curiosity, which kit is your broken wing from?

like mkky said u can order certain runner frm HLJ but the price is really expensive... and if ur parts are in multiple runner then u have to paid more than just buying the kit alone.

So another choice is to buy those Pirated version gundam kits loh.

On top of what the others have said, there's nothing a bit of super glue, a bit of putty and a bit of time, can't fix thumbup.gif

but then again, you can mould with putty the wing you lost, based on the opposite side's wing icon_rolleyes.gif

I only saw two things in this picture below.
1) the impressive details on the O Riser plane
2) the huge stack of Kshatriyas at the back ohmy.gif

Agree. It would be even sweeter if Bandai could incorporate early design sketches for some of their mechas that got rejected. biggrin.gif

Like a winged RX78. Or early Zeta conceptual sketches.

Yes yes!!! At least that would provide some humour while snapfitting brows.gif

Not actually an accurate comparison but it's a good estimation. We can see that the finished kit has a longer body but the same overall height, which means the waist is lower, making the legs shorter than initially planned. Other than details, perhaps that's why it has no wow factor? unsure.gif
