QUOTE(300078 @ Oct 27 2009, 04:12 PM) guess this one is a HG kit so no one paid much attention on how accurate the kits is compare to the original art. And there isnt any NG to compare it to. It's true that not many people pay so much attention to a 1/144 scale. Since many people were asking for a Kshatriya from Bandai years ago, i think they're more than happy to see it in a model kit, so not much criticsms can be heard.
QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Oct 27 2009, 04:27 PM) Not MG ma
QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Oct 27 2009, 07:19 PM) Not a fair comparison I suppose. The Kshatriya might appear a slightly less bulky, but it retains the same chunky parts as the original lineart. The skirt armours looks smaller than the lineart suggested, while the tip of the forearm armours are not as long. Other than that it's still the chubby bulky brute that looks absolute badass.
Of course it's a fair comparison, because comparitively, the pre-Beecraft-ed HG 1/144 or NG 1/100 are more accurate to the lineart. If we do get an MG Kshatriye, surely you'd see a skinnier and more edgy robot. Comparing to the current HGUC version, the green mech's fanboys would stand up and boycott it for the looks, and maybe even for the price.
Actually, comparing resin kits to plastic kits is the unfair one

QUOTE(golbeza @ Oct 28 2009, 01:15 AM) looks like we have the same mission: buy the hi nu after bandai released the HGUC Nightingale, btw, doncha wanna include HGUCs Unicorn + Sinanju? He'll include it after he decides Destroy Mode or Unicorn Mode
Most probably BOTH because Kshatriya needs a sparring partner as well This post has been edited by Parody: Oct 28 2009, 01:24 AM

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Oct 28 2009, 08:14 PM) Unicorn stayed fairly true to the original lineart (although the forearm sabres were a late addition compared to the very first design released), while the Sinanju got additional gadgets like the shield and beam axes that weren't present in the first place. For what it's worth, Katoki made subtle changes to the Sinanju such as redesigned rear thrusters, rifle, and tons of decals, which made it look much more refined. If Katoki gets his way in the Unicorn MG line, he'd stick to staying true to his lineart rather than send everything into the slimming centre and I expect the same case with Kshatriya. QUOTE(Exiled_Gundam @ Oct 28 2009, 08:56 PM) Hmm IMO. Katoki lineart more or less already conforms with how many MG look nowadays (not too fat, just good). For example, Unicorn and Sinanju will look weird if their already-slim design were slimmed more. That's why model kits of mecha designed by Katoki rarely differs from the lineart (one good example is Endless Waltz kits). Hmm, i agree, because it's Katoki Hajime cleaning up his own design. So there wouldn't be much radical changes as seen in the Ver. KA line of model kits, unless it has gone through another designer's hands, like Kanetake Ebikawa or Junichi Akutsu.
Well, i kinda miss the early part of the manual where they show the conceptual illustration. They don't have it anymore in recent models

QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Oct 29 2009, 12:34 AM) Well Wing ver. Ka quite radical change wat True, but it must be noted that he was redesigning Kunio Okawara's design. Hence the radical change.
But the 'change' that i was referring to in my earlier post is with regards to the initial conceptual illustration and the end model kit.

QUOTE(golbeza @ Oct 30 2009, 12:36 AM) i saw the Kshatriya boxes at the hobby shop @ Cineleisure, the box size is the same like MG Blue Frame @_@, but i forgot whether same size as the Psycho Gundam box or not Actually, it's a bitty bit bigger than MG ABF2L's box

HGUC Kshatriya's box is same size as HGUC Psycho's.

QUOTE(golbeza @ Nov 2 2009, 06:18 PM) lol i thought gloss injection kits are best right after assembled? and wat u mean by hard to cut? sry i never owned a gloss injection kits Like the Extra Finish or Metallic Coating versions, you can see an obvious mark after you cut it from the runners.
Also, the gloss versions make the joints weaker due to its very smooth surface. Less friction means less grip. If you pose the gloss version kit with the feet slightly apart on a smooth surface like a glass table, it'll do a split in less than a minute. I know because i have the MK-II Titans 2.0 HD Color and MK-II AEUG 2.0 normal versions.

QUOTE(kkloveit @ Nov 3 2009, 10:37 AM) I got a dynames transam kit... just as what Parody said, some joints are incredibly loose. Anyway, guys, recenly i just bought a 1/100 gundam dynames. Can you guys tell me how to deal with the head scope? It comes with clear plastic, i am wondering do gundam markers do well on clear plastic. You could paint only the inside of it, so it'll still look smooth and nice on the outside, but you'll lose the transparency. Kinda like the concept they use where you apply the foil sticker behind the transparent gun scope.
