Avalache is bulky but not cool.... it looks like some copycat version of that Samurai Gundam.
*

It might be bulky but Avalanche was actually designed to 'boost' Exia's mobility. rclxub.gif

Im not a great fan of the MG exia trans am mode....but awesome boxart is awesome
*

I spot a copy of NK's quote tongue.gif

The box size and price of this MG Exia Trans-Am should have the Repair Mode extras, but it does not vmad.gif

Here's some images of the new MG GN-X from the same guy that gave us the HGUC ReZel (Zeta C1 colors) a few pages back...

Nice purple tint, i'd say thumbup.gif

Hmm maybe it's only me, but I do think HG 1/144 version of GN-X has better proportion than the MG counterpart...

I don't really see any major changes in the proportions though...

...but 1/144 HGs get my vote because they come with optional hands and it's more affordable to buy 8 to 10 of them and make your own Jinx Platoon thumbup.gif

Me and my friends broke a few MGs like this. Here's a list of victims.

MG ABF2L thigh-to-upper-leg joint
MG IJ legs-to-lower torso joint
MG Destiny's legs-to-lower torso joint
MG SF legs-to-lower torso joint
MG SF shoulders-to-arm joint
MG Sinanju legs-to-lower torso joint

U play with them too much?
All i know is that all those u mention used ABS joint.... the main purpose of ABS joint is to let the model kit pose better, stand and do better action but not for playing.

It broke under normal posing circumstances. My MG IJ is 8 months old, only posed twice. Second time already broke. It's because the joints are too tight, that the 'male' joint actually got twisted off and stuck inside the 'female' joint. And i'm not talking about perverted stuff here... tongue.gif

MG Unicorn won't suffer this because the 'male' joint is actually shorter than the rest, meaning less friction between the joints. That part of the joint might pop out, but it won't get twisted off and break.

Thanks bro, very useful link there. notworthy.gif
But as far as i know, miliput is not hard/strong enough for this kind of 'heavy duty' part. I'm still looking for some tougher substance to be used for recast...

take building construction as example, there cement to create floor slab right? is cement enough? no inside the cement metal rod is everywhere & connecting each other to distribute weight. so use milliput putty as the cement & for the metal rod use something like paku or paperclip or maybe gundamium alloy if u can found 1 flex.gif

I get what you're trying to say. But the problem is, the force is not straight & direct, but rather encirclement.

user posted image

The black part is the metal rod. The gray part is putty/epoxy/miliput or whatever.
If the force is applied like in the left picture, surely the metal rod will work its charms.
But if the force is applied like in the right picture (which is my case), the metal rod is useless. The gray part will still break apart, unless that whole piece (black+gray part) is metal. But then again, if the male joint is metal and the female joint is ABS plastic, that female plastic will wear and tear quite fast.

Before this thread gets out of topic, here are pictures of the upcoming MG Unicorn OVA...

thank goodness i haven't really bought any unicorn MG or hguc. ever since i heard the movie is being planned, i know already surely there's some better re-packaging.

i think the OVA base very worth it. looks better than those koto mech bases.

maybe there will be some update/upgrade with the decals. lets wait & see.

----------------
about the broken joint, u can try use teflon tape (usually use to seal pipes) to minimize the friction so less probability of broken. I did mine & nothing broken so far.
