No need to fret, it's not really that cheap. Unless you wanted to buy the event limited kits...

So, the wings on 00 Raiser is quite versatile as well, unlike what many predicted.

QUOTE(man_hakim87 @ Dec 4 2009, 07:55 AM) Morning guys. Hey have u guys seen any cheap Blaze Zaku Phantom/Worrier around kl? Last time i check was around Rm101.00. Only the expensive stores still have some left. All the cheap ones have been swept clean. Check Metrojaya, around RM125.90. Quite worth it if they have 20% discount or during member's sale 20%+10%. All are Sangokuden. Why look for it there? BTS have a lot. It's only more expensive by Rm2-4 per box |

QUOTE(LucasGiap @ Dec 6 2009, 10:53 PM) thanks for the info (i c tat blog before, awesome guide) but what i really wan is.... suggestion n opinion.... coz i x sure which 1 is worth to buy.... still confuse thanks in advance Well i personally prefer Force over Sword, mainly because of the backpack. The way it's folded and how it looks more natural when paired with the Silhouette. Force looks faster, and the color scheme is very typical of gundams (blue, red, yellow, white) Price for price, both is 4500yen, but Force actually has more plastic than Sword. Not to mention that the sword when joined are too long to pose, and the weight hurts the wrist joints. |

QUOTE(wkyoong @ Dec 8 2009, 03:50 AM) Hello guys. I'm a total noob at Gundam Model kits. Use to have a few MG's but only did very basic panel lining. Haven's bought a single model kit since 2002 At the moment a little poisoned by MG Unicorn ver ka and MG Sinanju. Was wondering which model would be the best bang for my $? Sinanju looks really cool and articulated but the Gold parts looks like a nightmare to patch up. And I really love the unicorn's transformation. Both modes look awesome! Feedback is much appreciated Bandai's model kits ARE for beginners The process of building Sinanju is exactly the same like building other Gundams, it just takes longer or so. Pure snap fitting. Nothing complex. Comparitively, Sinanju is better than Unicorn. Moreover, Unicorn is much more fragile, unless you're pretty nimble in your handling. If you can follow instructions (or in our case, diagrams) clearly, MG Sinanju shouldn't be a problem to you. QUOTE(ra2zy @ Dec 8 2009, 10:51 AM) The color looks a bit pale to my liking... it needs some recoloring. But then again if i were to paint it, a normal RX-78-2 would do too. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Dec 9 2009, 09:34 AM) on the topic that banda'si kits are "easier" to assemble and therefore are "beginner's" kit. i disagree on this too. the reason that bandai's kits are easier to assemble is simply because they designed it so well. it's just like how a car with auto transmission is "easier" to drive than a manual. does that means a car with auto transmission is for beginners? not necessarily. it boils down to thrills. yes, a koto kit is more thrilling to assemble, but design(as in construction) and QC wise, bandai wins. bandai kits are designed so well that there are very little room for errors, and that is even if you don't know japanese. so bandai's kit=beginner's kit? no. a search on wikipedia regarding model robots revealed the following: "The majority of model robots are produced by Bandai and are based on the Mobile Suit Gundam anime metaseries...Gundam kits are the most common and popular variety of mecha models and so exemplify the general characteristics of models in the genre. Gundam kits are typically oriented toward beginners, and most often feature simple construction, simple designs, and rugged construction—less durable than a pre-assembled toy, but more durable than a true scale model. The result is that the majority of Gundam kits feature hands and other parts that favor poseability or easy assembly over accurate shape" QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Dec 9 2009, 09:57 AM) If you specifically just mentioned Armored Core, then I'm fine with that. But being biased to all Koto's kit saying they need glue, isn't really that true thou. Not just Kotobukiya's AC kits need glue. Like one of them said here, Hoi-Hoi San needed glue as well, and even newer SRW OG kits like the 1/144 Cybaster needed glue as well. So it's not confined to AC series alone. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Dec 10 2009, 09:31 AM) if you "believe" the statement in bold is true, then the statement in blue must also be true, huh? a PG or the latest MG kits has simple designs and construction? sorry, but i had to straighten that out. using wiki alone to back up your claim is rarely accurate. that whole paragraph is almost inaccurate. i pity the gundam model designers, they get too little credit. because to me, the PG and MG models from these past few years are quite intriguing and well done. they are nowhere near "simple". In a way, Gundam designs have been particularly simple, compared to let's say, Armored Core. It's easier to find smooth surfaces on a Gundam than a Core due to the lack of details, comparitively. I mean, just look at the 00 Gundam design. Obviously it was designed with poseability in mind when Kunio Okawara drafted it. No waist armors, no ankle armors, etc. The ability and ease of molding it into a model kit is far more important than the complexity of the design. Although i do agree some Gundam kits have been rather impressive in design. Construction is simple in the sense that it requires you to repeat the same technique of cutting, shaving and snapfitting over and over again, not the amount of time used or the number of pieces involved. Just look at how many people bashed the PG 00 Raiser. Construction-wise, some even say it doesn't deserve the title Perfect Grade. Since wikipedia can be edited, perhaps you would be nice enough to make that paragraph accurate for all readers? Thanks Added on December 10, 2009, 1:46 pm QUOTE(GrandElf @ Dec 10 2009, 08:59 AM) The MG Son Goku is OOB or painted in the picture there?? looks like painted for me.....any OOB picture and has it release yet?? here's an unpainted one, mate ![]() This post has been edited by Parody: Dec 10 2009, 01:46 PM |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Dec 11 2009, 07:21 AM) As for the price... it's not surprising at all. Japan often have crazy discounts even for newly-released gunpla. My Gundam ver2.0 only costs 3050 yen compared to the 4200yen RRP. Yup. It's one of their local products, surely it's cheaper for them.
