I'm going to have 1 BB curve 8900, I wonder if we have to pay for the usage of GPS in this phone?

Uh,i'm using AIS bangkok,prepaid.
I just found out moments ago that i need to pay for the GPS usage by just using the GPS application.=/
It would be better if you register yourself a postpaid line and unlimited edge connection per month =)

GPS no need to pay ... when your google maps / bb maps download the maps then you would need to pay for the data downloaded into your phone

can u guys tell me where is the gps application in the phone? i just get the phone today and new to blackberry...

Under the 'compass' icon, there is a BB map with GPS feature, or download google map.

If you are at indoor, you need to go near window in order to get satellite signal. HTH.

Click on the blackberry icon key, scroll down until u see a 'compass' icon, i presume your screen similar as BB Bold.

BB maps is originally exist in the phone? how come i cant find it...

Can you find the similar icon (the most right icon) on the attached photo? Yes, BB map is suck.

Btw, you need to pay for internet fee for BB maps as the map is regenerated as you move, the only free is GPS showing your location.

BB maps do not exist in the phone. It is only cached in the phone. You still download it from BB just like you do with Google Maps. It is not stored in the phone. Haven't you noticed the download arrows on the top right corner as you scroll around in BBMaps. It's constantly downloading the maps and caching it.

dont worry la.... I've been using BB since December and my bill never exceed before ... I am only using the RM40 package .... I PIN like crazy, email like crazym read RSS like crazy, ebook like crazy, weathereye non stop 30 minutes refresh and FB and Google maps ...

never exceed 5mb ... weird ....
