just want to know what is the pros and cons for xbox360 if compare with wii and ps3. can you guys list down what is the advantage for me to buy xbox360 instead of going for wii and ps3?

both are good

ps3 games a teeny weeny bit pricey

xbox games ( theres an option for u to mod it but you wont be able to play online )

RROD wont appear in jasper sets i doubt it, but 360 is known for having dvd reading issue

Modded or not, RROD will still occur, albeit much much less comparing to older versions... Lens issue, PS3 also has.

Seriously, if you are unwilling/incapable to spend thousands and thousands for games, you have only one option, no need to think much.

Xbox Live>>>>>>>>>>>PSN, with or without a fee.

And also depends on what game u want to play.

I think xbox 360 have all the variation of exclusive game that you can choose to play.From japan rpgs such as Infinite UnDiscovery, Lost Odissey,Last Remnant to action shooting game like Gears of War, Halo, Splinter Cell and more.

If you want to play MGS4 then you have to choose PS3.But fyi, MGS Rising and FF13 is coming to 360 also.

at least the graphics are better than ps3. COD WAW as example has much better textures than ps3 version. i don't think exclusive games like resistance 2 and killzone 2 has nice graphics. very coarse and rough textures. halo 3 for example has sharp and bright textures not to mention DOA4 even though it is launch title. i don't think there are ps3 games that have excellent textures like in DOA4.

but hey here's an interesting question...which platform would you guys opt for if a game is released for both ps3 and 360? taking into account that you own both consoles...say...something like mw2?

Id pick pc over the consoles when it came to mw2 lol.. but since i own both it would have to come down to whether i would care about online play or not in a game .. say perhaps street fighter 4 id pick the ps3 version because i enjoy playing online but not so much till id wanna pay for it since im already spending a lot on games .. but it were single player based like say saints row 2 or gta 4 ... probably the 360 version cuz of better visual and sound quality usually .. but of course it also depends on extras such as DLC and the such .. Batman Arkham asylum id get the ps3 version cuz i rly wanna play as the joker lol ... oh yea on a side note thanks again for the ms points bro

Well, I will got for XBOX360 for following obvious reason:-

-Best game library on any generation of console

-Build your own game via XNA & sell it on XBOX LIVE without you to pay an insane sum of license fee. They called it Indie Games.

-Some exclusive addons or coverage for certain big title on XBOX LIVE

-Can use Windows Live Messenger on XBOX360

-Games are cheaper then PS3, and yes, I mean only original. I do respect intellectual properties.

-3 yrs General hardware failure error (3RRoD & E74)1 to 1 swap warranty.

-XBOX Dashboard getting better & better

-You just can't help yourself on coming-up big title

What impaired the XBOX360 experience:-

-It's not officially supported in Malaysia, anything you must email them to call you back OR for warranty claim, go singapore~!

-You need to pay for online gaming, although it worth the price but you'll compare it with Wii &/or PS3 subconciously.

-You might develope a phobia on 3RRoD if you ever get it.

-If your console hang when you playing a game, you might get pissed as compared to PS3 & Wii coz u'll wonder Uncle 3RRoD visit you.

-If you kena 3RRoD, you'll scream for help & waste money.

-You can't help yourself from keep paying overwhelming 1st class titles.

-U curse microsoft when you brought wrong region title, which will not happen on PS3

-U curse Microsoft for stupid restriction which keep you from donating your money to XBOX LIVE.

-U can't bring your Asian console & gamertag to other continent.

For the 3RRoD part, PS3's equivalent version is YLOD (Yellow Light Of Death) which is also on the wild. Sadly PS3 got only 1 year limited warranty and not 1 to 1 swap and it's officially supported in Malaysia.

about gaming online with modded xbox, i can confirm that
i tried gaming SF4 with my modded xbox LIVE for 2 month already... and nothing happens.. my xbox set is year 2006 punya..

From the initial buy-in console from the retail shop, the reasons are very apparent that the Sony's PS3 is a notch classier than Microsoft XBox 360.

Same goes to Graphical User Interface (GUI), yet again Sony PS3 win hands down. Sony's PS3 has a "corporate and clean designs" icons whereas Microsoft XBox 360 is a tad ermmm "cluttered and unclean designs"?

Try study the exclusive title from both console.Which exclusive title would you prefer.Like I said previously.If PS3 have MGS4, God Of Wars and Uncharted,Xbox 360 also got its own killer exclusive title e.g. Gears Of Wars(which I recommended hardly), Halo and Splinter Cell.Don't trust the jap title for exclusivity on 360 because they only produce it on 360 as a test ground to see whether the sales are high or not.If sales are high they will ported it to PS3 with more additional content e.g Tales Of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata and Agarest War.Except for Square Enix games since their soul already blind with M$ funds.

Con for xbox 360: the material they use for Xbox 360 body and controller will turn yellowish after time period.

PS2 slim still look nice with the controller

I agree the XBOX blade sucks but not NXE.

And I do agree XBOX give a very cheapo look.

But gaming experience is surely otherwise.

Sony should be more creative on designing GUI since PS3 is same as PSP which is launched 4 years ago. I don’t see any innovation there.

Xbox 360:
Pro: Got tons RPG. JRPG & Asian titles also quite more including exclusive titles comparing to PS3, but still lost to Wii for Asian titles.

Con: So little time, but too many games make you don’t have time to play it all if you taking cheapest route to enjoying games (you know what I mean).

Pros of Xbox 360 could be its better online system (when connected to screamyx), *cheaper*games, these two only..

the price of both consoles in the future will be the same, but if u look on the other way, Xbox 360 becomes more expensive compare to PS3 because of no built in Wifi, no bluetooth, no Bluray, hard to upgrade the HDD etc

Well, just few days ago, elite gaming system in Singapore dropped it's price around 27%.

Also there is rumor 250GB Elite In production right now, thus phase out 120GB Elite & 60GB pro. The price should same as Xbox 360 Pro since all Elite had dropped price same as Pro. While stock last Pro also being phase out with dropped prices.

Buying a console is same as buying car. Persone Base-Line still had many buyers due to cheap comparing to Medium-Line & High-Line although all accessory package on High-Line is cheaper rather buying separately if choosing Base-Line. Car’s buyers never complain about this. Maybe they are more mature?

If you worry too much, don’t buy it. Go for PS3 instead. M$ don't need your money. Console should be for entertainment, not for worrying. We should just happily play games on console without thought of it become broke afterward. It will just spoil your gaming experienced. If your new console got broke, consider yourself unlucky & just send it to repair/warranty. That’s all.

Yes u r right, but PS3 game to me a little bit boring lah, now im gonna switch back to 360 because their game library is huge and satisfied me. Not to mention their Xbox Live is got a lot of features compare to PS

Cons: Its made by Microsoft. The company that is soooo unethical and manipulative but know how to do business. They decided to test the 360 on the market..people end up with faulty prone console..they have to replace..which increases their profit.. MS sux.

Buy PS3.

Actually faulty console send to them for warranty make them losses more. Even modded console broken & buying another modded one not even make profit for them since not buying their original games.

However, I do agree they know how to make business since they know how to turn their losses to profit with Xbox LIVE payment & great online experience attractive us to buy some original games to play online or shopping at XBL Marketplace, also huge library selection to attracted original buyers out there. Lucky for them original buyer is more than modded one.

Not to mention they have a lot of cash to covered up their flawless easily (3 years extended warranty).

They were hasty in pushing the product (Microsoft's XBox 360) back then. I didn't expect this happening from reputable Microsoft.

Anyways, library of games belongs to XBox 360. Period.
