3 combinations of 7.1 speakers

1. LR = Floorstanding, CS = Bookshelf

2. LRCS = Bookshelf + Subwoofer

3. LRCS = Stetelite + Subwoofer

for limitted space, everybody go for option 3.
for sound quality, some people say branded option 3 is almost same as option 2 as long as the subwoofer is the good one.

which one you prefer?
or you have different kind of combination like LR = Floorstanding and CS speakers are statelite?

thks

very hard to compare branded option 3 with non-branded option 2 (or option 1)

option 2 is best for multichannel music (or floorstanding LCRS + sub if space/$ is no object)

Hi,

Ideal would be 5/7 identical spkrs, preferably full range(or close to it) floorstanders (and a gud sub), especially if playin music..
I know I would go tis route IF I had de space and budget..

BUT in reality I guess 5/7 wall mounted bkshelves is wat most homes allow and I can live wif tat too..
Wat I ended up wif is 2 floorstanders and a matchin ctr plus 4 bkshlves(diff brand) n a sub n its not half bad..

Cheers
