What is jailbreak about? If my phone is officially from maxis do i need to jailbreak? or if i update the official version what will happen? Please i need to know

jailbreak basically allowed u to install 3rd party softwares which u can download thru cydia. but at the same time u can still download d apps from d apps. store.
do u need to jailbreak? this is very subjective. with jailbreak u can do customise your theme, and alot more.... but jailbreak will void your warranty.
regarding update of new firmware in future, it will still update as usual but all the jailbreak stuff will be wipe out.
