ei why is this thread so short?? sad.gif it is an interesting topic ma.. does anyone has any other suggestions on how to reduce dark undereye circles? I realise that many eye creams don't treat our dark circles and i don't bother looking for them nowadays. I'm more interested in natural ways like eye massaging or consuming chinese herbs to improve blood circulation and detox thereby reducing our dark undereye circles and bags. i know good diet and lifestyle are important but no matter how many hours of sleep i get the dark circles won't go away. my diet is quite balance and i seldom munch on junk food. and i exercised! hmm.gif can anyone suggest which chinese herbs are good for improving blood circulation? pls......... icon_question.gif

no idea bout chinese herbs. i had enough sleep of 8 hours also dosent help. sinus also can cause dark circle. i have really bad dark circle plus milia seeds. trying various product but none of it works. planning 2 go eye facial 2 help blood circulation. but i heard la mer eye concentrate is quite good. thinking of getting it 2 try. but counter price is so expensive. saw a thread that sell sample jar cost around rm70+.

I have the same problems too... since my job required me to stare at the monitor for a prolong time (well, who doesn't have to these days?).

I was told the Clinique's All About Eyes are pretty good but the price is... well, high. Anyways, I do some simple eye massage daily while washing my face but it isn't reducing my dark eye circles too, although my eyes do feel less strained.

Umm, i'm not sure it whether it work for everyone. A friend who is taking beauty course taught me this trick:
1. Put eyegel/cream on upper lids and eyebag area
2.massage in circular motion with your fourth finger beginning from the inner corner of your upper eyelid and end the circle at your tear duct/ the inner corner under eye.
3.repeat the massage gently for around 5 to 10 times or until the gel/cream is absolve, do it twice daily

Personally i found it works, of course i still have dark circle but not that bad even on days i don't have enough sleep.

You can try to cut few slide of potatos and put it under your eyes biggrin.gif
and you can try Momus Pure Whitening Eye Gel..
I'm using it now, it doesn't cure 100% of my dark circle. But it helps me not much~ ^^

been battling dark circles since my teen years.... unfortunately the truth is it comes down to genetics...

Of cos, to start of with drinking lots of water and having enough sleep...

Dark circles look worse if you have bags to go with it... unfortunately i have that too... not drinking too much water at nite and some cold bags of tea or cucumber in the morn helps a tiny bit, but in essence, something cold with constrict the skin and make your bags less apparent...

Only way to really remove bags - go for cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin under your eyes when you're hitting your 30s or 40s. No products can save your bags, it's just plain genetics..

Concealer will be your best friend

First concealer I tried many years ago was the Clinique Pen thingy (cant remember name anymore) was alrite, need retouching (used this for few years)

Then experimented with a few but these never stuck with me
Maybeline yellow corrector stick (so cakey)
Loreal True match (too watery, does nothing, color shades are off)
Stila - if u love obvious creases
Mac - doesnt last long, just brightens but still can see purplish shade of dark circle
Stage - Almost like a MAC rip-off. Works almost as well but not quite.. results will show
Estee Lauder - So-so, can't cover as well as Bobbi.

Bobbi Brown until recently - Used this for the last 5 years. Corrector is key, hide the circle then use a concealer shade which is not too white looking for ur face. only wished they have customizable palette to put both corrector n concealer + loose powder altogether than carrying a few jars around. They had one palette like 5, 6 or 7 years ago which has corrector, concealer, foundation, loose powder n a mini brush with puff. Wish they do that again. Only drawback- a few steps.. wish i can just dab smth n be done... A bit rich, will crease a tiny bit towards end of the day. Will need touch up but not as often as some I tried

Now experimenting with Benefit Boi ing - Impressive I must say.. I've shunned so many concealers over the last 10 years. Boi ing mimics the yellow undertone that Bobbi Brown shades has so it compliments ur skin. It doesnt cake up at all and it covers so well without a corrector. No wonder it's called Industrial Strength.... Only thing is that you prob need to puff some loose powder on it to make it stay.. wish it was bit cheaper though....

Can compete with Bobbi Brown's which I have been so loyal to for many years!

Anyone else tried Cle de Peau is amazing but I don't know where I can get it here and heard it's pricey too. Any experiences?

i still have not figure out which product can cure dark circles.. but i can tell u which product that i have used which is not useful so you do not have to waste your money to purchase them. so far, i have tried nivea eye cream and Garnier Dark Eye Circle pen. Both of them can't cure the dark eyes circle. But, i love the garnier's pen tongue.gif. I am using it to massage my eyes.

For temporary, you can try the eye mask. after using it, it slightly lighten the dark circles and no puffy eyes! =)

I'm also one of the fans of Bobbi Brown. I'm using Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit for many years. I love this product because it includes Creamy Concealer on top and Sheer Finish Loose Powder on bottom to set concealer for long-lasting wear. Moreover, I can find a shade that makes my skin tone fairly close.

Well, I would try out Benefit Boi ing since you have positive comment on the product. Thanks for your information!

What Pupluv81 said is right on the mark, unfortunately for a lot of us dark circles are a genetic tendency, and getting enough sleep and drinking water can only do so much... The skin underneath our eyes is more thinner than the rest of the face therefore it shows through the darkness from underneath more obviously.

I have used a basic moisturising eye cream every day for years, just to keep the skin its best, but concealer is really my best friend.
I have tried many and havnt found 'the one' yet. I cant afford to buy too expensive ones with the risk that it wont work well for me.
I have tried:
-Revlon Age Defying Spa concealer - the coverage is smooth and natural looking but the lasting power is not that strong
-Revlon colorstay concealer - very good coverage, good colour for me, VERY long lasting, however sometimes it can look 'cakey' (helps if you really moisturise well before)
- Recently purchased Garnier Roll on anti-dark circles (this one), i'm very disappointed. the coverage is too light so it doesnt cover well, and the fairest colour is too dark for me.
I feel so disappointed by all the money i've wasted over the years searching for the perfect product, I think ill just alternate between the two revlon ones.

just some sharing, recently bought an taiwan brand eye cream from a forum. There are many good review so i give it a try, had been used it for one week.
my dark eye circle, eye back and fine line problem is not severe, just that when i have not enough sleep, my eyes will look very bad. this whole week i slept quite late and at the same time apply the eye cream, surprisingly my eyes look as fine as i have enough sleep. but not sure if this product will fully cure all my problems or not..

You can also try the Novexpert Anti-Aging Eye Contour - it doesn't promise you immediate reduction but over time, it'll reduce and give you a smoother eye contour.

Novexpert Eye expertise ranges has Anti-free radical (anti-cancer), Anti-inflammatory, Radiance, Lifting & anti-dark circle ingredients that is made out of natural ingredients (cause we believe that whatever chemicals we use on our skin GOES INTO THE BLOOD, and we use chemicals everyday).

Novexpert is Highly, Highly, Highly recommended.

If you can visit SaSa, go check out the Novexpert eye range. It's really worth getting and with the mighty natural ingredient inside, it doesn't cost a bomb.

For more info: you can visit http://bit.ly/18nvtyz

hi guys, ive been using Hylexin for over a month. and i can see HUGE difference for my eyebags and dark circles.. its a lilttle bit expensive but one tube can last for a year cause a little will do the trick.

u guys can opt for estee lauder and clinique eye creams too.. heard alot of good reviews bout this two brands.

for a cheaper version maybe can try Loreal or Olay eye creams. not sure if its effective though.

Initially, I thought that quantity is very low but it takes very less to apply on the skin. Then i feel its wonder goes well on the skin.I have noticed less bagginess and darkness under the eye while using it.This goes one really well and does not leave a greasy feeling on the eye.

Dark eye circle is a pretty common problem among Malaysians as we work long hours in front of the computer and doesn't get enough sleep.

The 8 main reasons for dark eye circle includes:

1. Lack of sleep
2. Smoking
3. Not wearing sunglasses
4. Not using a moisturizer
5. Drinking from a straw
6. Sleeping with makeup on
7. Not drinking enough water

Hi all icon_rolleyes.gif

Do try on Soya Collagen to improve the dark eyes circle or skin-related issues.

[Soya Collagen does not contain collagen. Soya Collagen is supplying all the raw ingredients nutrients for the body to build/generate collagen naturally.]

What is Soya Collagen?
Soya Collagen is a vegan collagen builder which made without any animal products, this doesn’t make Soya Collagen less effective. Soya Collagen provides all the ingredients to allow the body to make collagen itself.

Soybeans are high-protein foods that contain all the essential amino acids. It helps in collagen production and is comparable to meat in nutritional value. Soybeans are rich in soy isoflavones, phytoestrogens that improve skin aging and relieve menopausal syndrome. Also, the linoleic acid contained in soybeans can effectively prevent the synthesis of melanin in skin cells.
