i decided to do some extension at the back(new house) and awarded to contract to one contractor

signed the quotation agreeing to work done

i did not ask him to do anything else as i wanted to get seperate quotes from diff ppl as i am not in a hurry

the cont has brought his electrician n also some grill n gate man to give me quoatations...

is it wise to reject his electrician n grill quotations? as i find it a bit higher?

shall i wait until he finish doing the extention and leave, then only get in other ppl to do the job?

3. for the auto gate part, i asked him to make the pillars wider as want to install bigger gate. He then wanted me to use his men to do the gate but the price is so high....so i declined as i found a much cheaper gate outside

now he says, the gate must be done first before the pillar so they can install the gate as soon as the pillar done... but the gate fello i asked , told me to do the pillar first as they will need a accurate measurement.... but my contractor say its not rite to leave the gate open ..

so wat is the normal way to do the autogate? must the pillars be done first?> cant the contrcactor just do a starndard distance between pillars then the gate fello do the gate?

you're the boss, u can do anything u wan. Do pillar then put the hinge inside

just install a pair of steel hinge when constructing. After pillar done also can install, but not so good.
b4 pillar, definitely cannot install
