A heads up to potential (and existing) Tunetalk customers. As of 18th March 2017 :

1. Call rates is now a flat 22 sen per minute to all networks

2. Pay-per-use data is now at 2 sen per MB

3. Datatata plans have been trimmed to just 4 plans :
-  Daily 100MB @ RM0.88
-  Weekly 1GB @ RM8.80
-  Monthly 4GB @ RM28
-  Monthly 8GB @ RM48

4. Topup freebies
-  RM30 topup comes with 1GB data valid for 30 days
-  RM50 and above topup comes with 2GB data valid for 30 days

5. 1 year validity still available @ RM28

Conclusions: Call rates is now less competitive and the weekly 100MB @ RM2 datatata plan is now gone. Tunetalk is now seen as no longer catering for small data users. From the new rates, we can see that tunetalk have shifted focus to big data offering. Apparently tunetalk's monthly plans is equivalent to xpax's monthly internet plans.

Will tunetalk be able to maintain their subscriber base ?

Already standardized at 30sen/minute for the big 3 prepaids. U is now at 24sen/minute. Tunetalk have just recently increased from 16sen to 22sen/minute. The focus now is on data subscriptions where there's lotsa money to be made. i'm not saying it's a bad thing .... not at all ...

I believe toneexcel/toneplus is not making much of a dent to tunetalk network allocations. I remember that 2-3 years ago there was a handful of toneexcel users around me slow talking me. Now none of them are on toneexcel subs nemore.

Received my SIM card finally and called for port in yesterday night. Received Celcom sms confirmation this afternoon, Celcom sim deactivated night. But seem like my tt sim still with temporary number. May I know how long it will take to transfer the number?

what is your current plan in Tunetalk ?? mind to share ?

I ported in from Yoodo a few days back now only RM20 plan. Planning to change it to RM99/yearly plan but wondering how is the data speed for yearly plan. This is my backup line. anything like 15Mbps is already good for me

I also port out 1 Yoodo number to Epik 20. This Epik 20 doesn't have 5g I think, only Epik 45 specifically mentioned unlimited 5g according to their website.
Btw what is the grace period of TT prepaid after plan expiry?
