One question.... why am i getting high down speeds when using D68??

For one, 384kbps is its max rated down speed. But when do speedtest... its way above it. Why???

any chances that celcom 3g broadband to increase their capping to at least 15gb??? Digi is having 10gb liaw ler.....

What package are u using??? cuz i find that D68 when hit the capping and being throttled.... i cant stand the speed man.......too slow. Throttled down to 64kbps......

For 3 plus mbps line.... when throttled is 128kbps. So just wanna do a survey here to see....... if still good then maybe i wanna upgrade to 3mbps line (D98).

btw, this morning i wanted to have the upgrade from d68 to d98 package. first question posted by the service consultant... which area are you staying. then she proceeded saying d98 which is on 3GX network has no coverage there. meaning, there is only d68 there. i was like

is there difference in d68 an d98 coverage? what she meant was if there is no d98 coverage there, that means even though you're subscribed to d98, ur speed will be of d68.

anyone in here care to input on this???

any hopes that celcom will increase its monthly quota to 10gb? Digi is with 10gb quota la... sigh...... sooo sad.

yea i complained about the quota last month. the lady at the end of the help line told me... "well u could buy additional quota for a price" damn it. if the place i am living in have Digi 3g coverage or even better... RedTone Wimax i would 100% go for it already in the first place!!!!!!

Last night and this morning's connection was rather damn slow... I cannot surf! And no, i am not throttled YET.


btw, those of u have experienced being throttled, are you able to surf the net still? Because once i get throttled, 50% of the time i cannot surf. Meaning, the page loads almost forever. Is it normal?

Am thinking of D98 package whereby when its capped at least its at 128kbps rather than 64kbps for D68...

I seriously think you cant do so. That is why many ppl like me bought other modems rather than Celcom's or Digi's modem. So that next time if there is any other service provider one would like to try or use... can do so easily without being locked to one.

This is what i am being advised by the reseller when i was about to buy Celcom's modem.

I tot the cycle ends and to be reset on every 3rd of the month????

im living along jalan batu kawa tondong pass desa moyan in vision land area.... 4 of 5 bar connection. Fast also. Now wondering if the 3mbps line can be supported at my home or not though.

throttled down to 64kbps due to hitting 5gb capping.

i acknowledge that the line speed is much slower NOW.

BUT... that does not mean that i cannot browse the internet right?? i am having that problem now / every time it gets throttled.

one page loading can take almost forever or never.

complained to celcom few times and they keep explaining that f***ing Fair Usage Policy thing to me in which i UNDERSTOOD fully.

what can i do??? f*** man. i think i am going to complain again....

yea i have facebook connection dns error also...the whole of yesterday. Today am not so sure.

Btw is there such thing as D98 package some areas dun have the service even though there is coverage for D68?

I was told by the lady in celcom counter that although there is coverage for D68 package but not necessary you can have the speed D98 package has to offer in the same area...

Once reached monthly quota, it will ONLY be reset on every 3rd day of the month. D98 package once throttled, the speed will be down to 128kbps. D68 package once throttled, the speed will be down to 64kbps.

You are using D98 package right?

Yes it should be reset by today. If not then clearly u guys should call up and complain already.

Mine was throttled till 3rd may and was reset already.

what? based on billing cycle???! how come celcom tell me otherwise. aduh... that means my billing cycle is 3rd lo like this.... I am sorry for giving wrong infor in my earlier post on the quota reset date.
