St Jude factory is currently in progress and expected to be finished in end Q4 2009. I wonder if there is any open position there ? like IT department?

I dont see opening from their official website, perhaps they go through head hunter?

Anyone know are they recruiting now?

what is st jude? Is it very famn=ous produce medical priduct?

Here is what I heard.

1) You can submit your CV via St. Jude Medical website. I already did. Penang, Malaysia is the only offshore production site for them. They is only one opening when I submit my resume - Quality Assurance Director.

2) The first batch of engineers and technicians are hired and are now training in USA. Don't ask me how they hire people but apparently they managed to find people without posting on the normal job-board.

From what I heard, the first batch was only several dozen operators and a bunch of engineers....

I saw the building is nearly completed.

Yea, they seem to be stuck with the QA Director vacancy in their website while Jobstreet has 3. I notice that they have quite a number of cars parked next to the building but not sure if it has officially started operation.

I hv a fren that caution me abt joining St Jude Penang. Apparently the benefits is not good- no profit sharing, no stock option, no stock purchase, medical coverage is very very very minumum, EPF is low, no optical coverage, NON-contractual bonus, annual leave is minimum, working hour is not flexible and overall the benefits is way below average. The company also obsessed in bonding employees knowing the benefits is not on par with the market. So far a few employees left the company after joining for less then 6mths. Just be aware.

My friend went for the 2nd interview and surprisingly he wasn't being offered/hired.

Sounded to me that they're pretty strict in their hiring process or candidate selection.

Same they rang me today today too. Sadly I think I'm gonna pass on this one it seems they have a little problem with the working conditions there. Although the good thing is you get to fly to US for training.

Done the interview. Two stages. First interview, once passed that then boom second interview on the spot...

I also get 2.8k for my fresh entry, not an engineering graduate though. How is the whole package, benefits it offered, how long is this Mgt Trainee Program? Rotation and assimilation into what department later?

24-month long program, experience different functions, at the end you're trained to become a manufacturing engineer and stay within a function subject to performance. I'll get more details on whole package Monday, will update. cheers

Looks like St. Jude is hiring big time. 43 positions posted on jobstreet, mostly experienced hires

i heard st jude provides really great benfits to its people

It means they are either facing a high turn over rates or now in expanding process.

Noted they need a few industrial engineer and automation engineer, means their factory are actually moving to TPM and autonomous maintenance, aka more to automated operations with the PLC programs etc.
