XeactorZ sup. just like to know your impressions toward the Inspiron 15 7559 FHD screen variant, how is it? i took a slight interest towards the 4K model but find it not really useful + the amount of glare due kinda hurt.

Hi, I think the FHD screen is good enough as this is my 1st laptop laugh.gif
I do did compare my laptop screen among my friends which using Asus N551zu and my brother Lenovo Y510P
totally look better than both of them
but as I said before, this laptop come with 2 brand of screen, either LG or other called BOE (which I am using right now)
slightly worse than LG, but after calibrate the display is good enough
*both of them are matte display
as for 4k model, I have no idea about as right now I using the FHD version, Windows by default already scaling the resolution to 125%, can't imagine the 4k version scaling
yet, as for gaming so far is okay, normally I set those setting to medium rather than high, don't want my laptop temperature is high
but IMO 4k version if gaming the setting need to set very very low
*
I see. Thanks for the insight. Guess my next 3 months purchase will be a gamble. laugh.gif

notebook review forum
your screen is LG one, good enough
no need calibrate
but around that time really got new GPU comes out, why not go for it tongue.gif
*
Cuz at the same time, newer specs means the price will jack up. tongue.gif
That also means I may have to spend my SSD + RAM money on a better GPU. laugh.gif

TBH, I might not do any heavy gaming on this laptop as I have a PS4, and most of the time I will game with it.

maybe current laptop price will goes down, meanwhile new laptop that come with new GPU replace current laptop price mar whistling.gif
as for RAM, I only use 8GB lol, and ssd is a must tongue.gif
since you own ps4 why don't consider ultrabook laugh.gif
*
Well, we won't know when Pascal gonna release, or precisely, the laptop with Pascal chip. laugh.gif
RAM...maybe will set aside, since the basic i7 model has 8GB. Will consider additional ram if not 'satisfied'
But then, ultrabooks are kinda expensive + main requirement is 15" FHD screen with decent performance for productivity.

ddr4 sad.gif. is a big let down? overall battery life?
*
Nope. RAM won't affect battery life very much. You won't notice much differences in everyday usage. Only on benchmark papers, it will show the difference.
For gaming, I'd vouch for the GPU in Dell 7559, as it's GTX960M with 4GB GDDR5. I'm not sure if there's a DDR3 variant of GTX960M but in the past, it is shown that the graphics card with GDDR5 outperforms DDR3 variant.

I never say GTX 960M got DDR3. I only say I'm not sure IF got or not and GDDR5 > DDR3. Hope that clears.

never mind, im wrong. maybe because my England hard to understand, so it cause someone to misunderstood. rolleyes.gif
or maybe that person should work on his comprehension. rolleyes.gif

if 960M only GDDR5, then it is GDDR5. smile.gif
