I think better to wait for the Asus UL20A. Much faster processor, C2D and also longer batter life. Unit is lighter too with a 12 inch.
Price would definitely be the same or cheaper.
Dell is quite sad to quote 6 hours when all netbooks and culv are pushing up to 10 hours.

Yes, very true. Dell may have the best support service and also very good quality but their batteries are crap. Even their whole mini atom range have crap battery life.
Since a notebook's most important aspect is the battery life, Dell has really failed. I use an Asus 1000HE and I get 8 hours of battery with wifi usage per day. My friends use the Inspiron Mini, 3 hours sudah mati

according to the website, they say the 6 cell can give 6 hours and 36 minutes. So, in real terms, it should be around 4 to 5 hours. For such a heavy unit, it should be much longer. Why upgrade to 4GB when Win 7 runs perfectly at 2GB. There is no speed increase really.

nobody seems to have it. I guess people think its crazy to pay RM2200 for a mere "netbook" with a CULV. People rather buy a full core2duo machine for RM2200.
Its a psychology thing. RM1300, people don't mind and that is why the netbooks at that price are selling well.
It is a matter of time before Dell drops the price substantially.

QUOTE(bibbyGirl @ Nov 3 2009, 01:14 PM) core2duo for rm2.2k? those are 14" or 15" heavy weight with low spec No, the Inspiron 13 is 1.8KG and its a very fast core2duo. Not much heavier than 1.6KG Inspiron 11z

1.38 only with 3 cell. Dell told me its 1.6KG with 6 cell.
Sounds pretty heavy doesn't it?? I guess, people don't realise this.

UL20 is at shockingly 2699. I'd go for the Dell. But bear in mind ita abt 1.6KG and not that light.
Defeats the whole purpose of getting a netbook.
