Dell 11z Dual Core Model Comes With Windows 7 Free Upgrade

http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/10/dell-11z-...ee-upgrade.html

Also, there is *NO* handling/shipping fees for WIN 7 upgrade (not like other major brand) will be charge to customer too. This will be a plus point for Inspiron 11z.

Upgrade DVDs could be coming from Dell instead.

*

get dell's standard 2GB ram, but buy outside the 4GB piece. safe your money.

Home Premium is the best for semi-pro home use.

Professional has more of networking stuffs (suitable for corporate use).

Ultimate is overkill (all-in-one OS).

One more thing: pricing!

Home Premium Retail = RM459. OEM = RM369. <-- quite affordable even when u get Retail.

it refers to physical CPU, not how many cores inside the CPU.

one thing to ponder: does Windows *really detect* how many physical cpus on the board? smile.gif

or it's just purely licensing restriction on paper .... curious

they're not displaying any 11z. whichis kind of weird.

i think they don't want 11z to steal the limelight of their other products.

if customer see 11z has lower price than others, 11z might sell more! biggrin.gif

Review Dell Inspiron 11z Notebook

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-I...ok.23037.0.html

Pro
+ Clearly higher performance than netbooks
+ HDMI
+ Small, quiet and light
+ Low power usage
+ Good worksmanship
+ Multi-touch function
+ Hardware installed in the laptop is typical for its class

Contra
- Glossy display
- Delicate lid
- No VGA (important for those users who use older peripheral devices)
- Only moderate battery life
- Difficult to upgrade the internal components

Dell Inspiron 11z Unboxing Video

http://www.liliputing.com/2009/12/unboxing...ight-video.html

*seriously, this is one ugly unit with 6-cell battery popped out at the back. yeah, some users here already bought it and got a shock after receiving it.

and it could be a reason why Dell wouldnt sell/display it on their retail stores!!*
