I haven't bought gadget for some time so I am out of sync with the trends. Now my work needs me to buy a notebook was seeing this dell is a good spec

Guys my budget for notebook is about 3k at the moment very interested with this. Is this a good buy. I have a few questions, hope some sifu can help.

my usage time all in one including
gaming, photo shop, illustrator, video processing and editing.

1) will anytime soon dell might come out an updated version?

2) any alternative options similar or better than this spec within my budget of 3k.

3) from the trending of this notebook and offer maybe during pc fair how low can the price get? I got offer for rm3159 with free bag. Is this the cheapest?

4) any recommendation seller for this model online?

5) can this be upgradable to ssd?

6) from sifu estimating how future proof is this notebook?

7) any major problems with this notebook, I want review from user not, reviewer or seller.

thank you all

Anyone use this Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 Laptop?

http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-11-3147-...en&s=dhs&~ck=mn

Kindly share some of your comment here.

Besides that, any significant different in performance for Intel® Pentium® Processor (Quad Core) over the Intel® Celeron® Processor (Dual Core)?

i3 is out due to my budget issue.

thanks in advance for all the coming reply.

always try to spend more on notebook. The lower you you spend the faster it gets obsolete.

Its like a car 1000cc , 1500cc and 2000cc got different?

The higher spec you go the longer it can last. If you ask me my recommendation is minimum i5 and above.

If you think i3 is out of your budget the hardware you wanna get max can last you a year or less.

It regardless what usage the lower the spec you buy the faster obselete it gets.

Dell have the best warranty I have ever experience. Since so low spec why don't you get Microsoft surface instead?

I spend 5k on my XPS m1210, and its still kicking up till now. 8years of usage and proud of it. Though LCD had turn yellowish. Bought a 3yrs extended warranty before and no regrets.

Now they offer max 4years for inspiron & 5years for alienware

Dell has revised their pricing. All gone up already. I guess due to the low RM value. Dang now I regretted not finalizing my purchase yesterday  cry.gif

Planning to get an i3 Inspiron 15in. Saw it under the special 2 to 5 days delivery at Dell's website. Quite cheap at RM1499. Quick question. If I will only be surfing, office apps, and watching full hd movies, will I notice the difference in speed with i5? My previous Acer was i5,2nd gen I think. Kaput last week, dont really feel like fixing it
*
not that obvious except at high resolution.

It seems like not just me alone, someone out there with Inspiron 7559 will face random crash "screen blackout".

I contacted Dell Technical Support and they told me it was Intel HD Graphic 530 problem, they previously did the latest driver update for me, The "screen blackout" didnt happen that frequent but it still happening.

47100: Do you still face the same problem after updating? Im using driver version 20.19.15.4454, mind guys in here that have no problem share your driver ver.?

My Dell 7559 has the latest Nvidia graphic driver installed for GTX960M. It is using the 'High Performance' power plan on Windows 10 64bit, also the power management mode is on 'Prefer maximum performance' for Nvidia settings. The problem is my laptop is not pumping out as much fps as those benchmarks posted on Youtube with the same laptop. My model is non 4k i5 regular hdd version. For example, with all low settings on CSGO, I'm getting <100 fps running around dust2 alone, while others say they are getting 100-200+. Another example, my Dota 2 is struggling to stay on constant 60fps with all high settings, especially in team fights. I have AC power plugged in when gaming.

Is this normal? Or am I expecting a lil bit too much from a laptop with only GTX960M?
*
how to check the fps. let me try on mine.

Add '-console' to your launch option (right click the game on Steam -> properties) for CSGO/Dota2, inside the game option you will see how to bind a keybind to console, pull down the console and type 'net_graph 3' on console then press enter.
*
on battery 25-30fps

on ac 90 to 120fps

seems same like yours

most review on internet are i7 version

Or are they gonna release new revision again soon?
Dell nowadays macam less customizable liao...
*
what type of customization you looking for? From my experience 5000 is a low end series. I would go for 7000 series if i am you

if you wanna know any new upcoming model check dell usa

Hello people, im Dell 5448 user, upgraded RAM to 16GB and 512GB SSD(Samsung 850 PRO), since the processor is Core i3, i think i can beat macbook pro 2012 performance as im installing mac osx on it.

For the wifi problem faced by 5447 and 5447 user, you can fix it by changing the WiFi card, like me, i changed to broadcom mac compitable card, and it fixed the issue.

[attachmentid=6964258]

I can say that this model is good. It has same keyboard as 7447 which has backlit keyboard, i changed it which price RM85 only, bought from Dell China. I also changed the screen to 1080p (which dell 7447 has the version too), i can conclude that i dont regret buying this laptop. recommended dell as its warranty can be extended.

But the issue for now is,  The battery life is not good since it has small battery, thats why. I'm planning to get a bigger battery but its not available for this model.
*

u install osx on your dell?

Yes, bought this for my hackintosh project. So far, i found that this model is the smoothest installation process i did.
