Hi guys. I'm using a Dell Inspiron N4050. I just installed Windows 8 on my laptop but the Wifi driver installer doesn't seem to run or install. I run the installer and I get to select the language. After that, it just looks like its processing and closes without installing anything. Please can anyone help?

What is your wifi model ?

Should be dell wireless 1702.

The filename of the installer is DW1702_W8_X01_A01_Setup-3K92G_ZPE.exe

Based on that, yours is broadcom wireless card, not Dell wireless 1702
Try this http://download.wireless-driver.com/driver..._vista.win7.exe

The installer wouldn't run because of a installer rule so I extracted the files using Winrar and installed it manually using the Have Disk in Device Manager. Now I'm getting proper full speed Wifi.

Thank you so much smile.gif
