i'm in the midst of choosing between
1) dell inspiron 11 3000series 2-in-1
i3-4030U(4th gen)
win8.1
4gb ram
500gb hdd
rm2229

or

2) dell inspiron 13 7000 series 2-in-1
i5-5200U (5th gen)
win8.1
8gb ram
500gb hdd hybrid drive
rm3179

Which you think is good buy?
4th gen adn 5th gen processor any big difference?
big performance difference between normal sata hdd and hybrid drive?
My main criteria is portability. Is it worth to top up the difference to get the i5?

4th gen adn 5th gen processor any big difference?

For day to day computing 4th gen and 5th gen are not much different..

big performance difference between normal sata hdd and hybrid drive?

Faster boot and normal app opening etc will feel much quicker and smoother.

My main criteria is portability. Is it worth to top up the difference to get the i5?

It really depends on your needs. portability wise Dell Inspiron 11 would be a much better choice, but I personally prefer at least 13" and above screen.

Thanks for the reply.
I think for portability wise, the 11" & 13" shouldn't be much difference in weight increase i guess.
Processing wise, both i'm alright with it.

I guess i'm asking for future proof so that the notebook can use for at least 3 years or more down the road.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows whether Dell has student package purchase? Also, where is the nearest place for me to view a Dell laptop in Subang/PJ? Dell website has so many but i've checked one of it and apparently they don't sell Dell.

Another question that i have, is how come Dell website and those sold in Lazada are not the same specs although the model number is the same?

I'm eyeing at Inspiron 7548. Initially i thought of getting Latitude but i realize it's more of home use and it's not worth the extra amount.

Im currently using Dell Inspiron 14R Special Edition- 7420, It still work really well for me. but it doesn't good enough to play FIFA 16. The specs are as below.

3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3210M processor
4GB DDR3L
500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M DDR3 2GB

What can I do to make it able to run FIFA 16. Plus, I still have a 3 year warranty that will end march 2016. Will it void my warranty if I make change to my Laptop.

Starting price 800 bucks in the US. but judging by the xps price here, we might have to multiply by 5 to estimate the pricing here sweat.gif

Pretty awesome laptop, only issue is the hard drive, whether we can install an M.2 and normal HDD or only got space for one, and the wireless AC is only single spatial stream.

XPS so awesome, got triple spatial stream cards...the only one on eart currently. ..damn.....
