The reason why you can't tell anyone you're in the beta is because people will pester you about the game's details. If you can't keep your mouth shut about being in the beta then I doubt that you will keep your mouth shut about anything in game.

I'd always like to try the Sylvari. They're a new race and it'll be a new experience being plant people biggrin.gif

I would go for either engineer or elementalist. I like to wield the elements or handle flamethrowers haha. Plant ppl wielding flamethrowers = super effective smile.gif

Team Legacy
Team Legacy as a whole was originally established in early August 2010 as a Team Liquid offshoot. TeamLiquid.net is the premier website for Starcraft and Starcraft 2 outside of Korea and a haven for competitive hardcore gamers. Together with a few friends, we have flourished and become very active. Our community continues to grow and interact with each other through various methods: playing games together, chatting on teamspeak, and developing guides. Most of us have gamed our entire lives, many even at a professional level, and now we've come together to create a haven where we all are encouraged to think freely and interact with others who share our passions. We have started numerous projects to put a better foothold on our main goals, which consist of not only being among the best, but helping others reach that point too. We started what we call "TL Academy", which consists of numerous guides ranging from psychological, to developing better motor skills, to technical. With proper teaching we try and break the norm that with proper dedication, there can actually be a bridge between the casual and hardcore.

Requirements :
Team legacy (Main Guild)
For Division 1a(sponsored structure pvp team), members must make the days as discussed with coach/manager.
(Members focusing on arena play. Those in Div-1A are generally those with extensive experience, and typically considered to be the most experienced PvP'ers in the guild.)

For Division 1, members must make 4 of 7 days.
(Our renown top-tier group of players, coming from extensive PvP experience, set on making a name in GW2 with TL. They view our guild more as a brand name than a guild. They're in it to win, and will put full time and dedication to doing as such.)

For Division 2, members must make 2 of 7 days. (Full as of now)
(What most would consider a "competitive guild". Although not held to the same extreme standards of our professional team, members recruited into this group are still representing our image, and therefore put through many of the same tests and qualifications as a professional team member. They are however, allowed more in terms in attendance leniency and PvP experience.)
Legacy Vanguard (2nd Guid, Casual & Relaxed)
These are for those who can't commit yet has a passion for the game, this guild does everything as the above just in a more casual and relaxed way.

For those who are interested, you can go to the 'Team legacy recruitment' forums from the drop-down tab Forums --> Community Forums --> Team legacy recruitment'

I'm currently in this guild with a few other malaysians, would love to see some fellow countrymen in this guild too.
I'm gonna make this clear, I'm not a recruitment officer nor promoting the guild
I may not be able to present the team in a professional way, BUT
I just love to see more AZNs in this guild smile.gif

Recruitment Process :

The Written Application

To start the written application, you only need to click "Start New Topic" at the top of the Recruitment Forum and the required information will be in the template provided. The keys to filling out the application are as follows
Do NOT change the template questions or format at all. This prevents walls of text and having to search for where the question ends and your answer starts. Start your answer after the dash provided below each required piece of information. Your application will not be accepted for review until it fits the proper format that is given to you.
Answer each question fully, with as much information as possible. We realize this is the internet and privacy is a concern. We are not asking for a life story and personal information, but as a gamer your (character's) name has been out there and the more information you provide, the easier it is for us to see your game play history.
Be honest. We will search for information to ensure the validity of your information, so do NOT claim something that cannot be backed up. Include pictures and/or links to any major claims (e.g. "I won the XYZ tournament in 2005"). Without this information it will not be considered. If you did something with a group, include who you were with (guild, clan, community) at the time of the claim.
We look forward to reading the applications. Remember, the best way to speed up the process is to join us on our Teamspeak server (as you will be interviewed there as well). We're all very close knit, but at the same time, we're all strangers originally. Don't be shy. We'd love to meet you.

The Teamspeak Interview

Teamspeak 3: http://www.teamspeak...?page=downloads
Team Legacy Teamspeak 3 server (click the "Join" button on the top nav bar, be sure you bookmark the server: http://www.gametrack....9.37.236:9238/

You will be given an interview on Teamspeak 3. You must have this program installed to continue the application process after posting your application. If you are not familiar with it, install it and hop on ours. Everyone there is familiar enough to help you step through it.

Interviews are planned for 9 PM Eastern (New York) time during the week, Sunday through Thursday. A recruiter will contact you to set up a date for the interview.

Voting Process

All applications are discussed/acknowledged behind closed doors among Team Legacy Council members for final decision. Discussions there do not go outside to the general guild population and we value our sense of respect, trust and privacy. You will most likely not receive a response until the end of the voting discussions, but we highly encourage until then to continue to get to know the guild through participation on the forums and on Teamspeak.

All applications will be decided upon within seven (7) days. If you are accepted in the guild, you will be under a two-week review period. Barring anything major, from the point of acceptance you'll be given the rank and privilege of a full member of Team Legacy.

If your application is denied one of two things may happen:
You may be asked to reapply in 30 days. In this case there may be enough reason to believe that further experience with guild members will help us to reevaluate your potential as a guild member. Don't fret, there still is a chance in most cases. But, reapplying and proving that experience is at that point entirely up to you as the applicant. You may still get to know us and reapply to Legacy Vanguard.
You may be asked to not reapply. In this case you were found to not be a good fit for the guild and we wish you luck in your gaming career. If you are declined in this manner, realize the decision is final. We ask that you respect our process and leave it at that.
Again, we'd like to thank you for considering Team Legacy as your potential guild. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Orz via private message.

I would like to join a guild especially a casual one like Legacy Vanguard someday just to be with an active community and going on in squads for PvP or WvW and a casual guild doesn't have strict schedules as I'm busy all the time and want to enjoy Guild Wars 2 at my own pace. biggrin.gif

So this mean in order to play FROM SEA we need to buy from SEA retailers...

we can still connect to NA servers or EU server regardless

anyone know any official retailer for SEA? closest one I've seen is the AUS retailer
*
Yes we do need to buy from SEA retailers. That's why need to confirm with the retailer we're buying from whether it is NA version or SEA version otherwise we would be conned. But if you pre-purchase fron Arenanet then it will not be a problem as it'll auto assign the server for you based on your location. But you'll still be locked to that server. So if you moved to another region after you have locked your server region (e.g. go to Europe after registered with NA), then you'll need to purchase another copy of the game in order to login to the server and eventually play the game again. This is my interpretation on their post. Hope that helps! smile.gif

Wrong. There is no SEA retail version. Only the NA and EU retail copies exist. (Basically we get the NA version)

As with GW1, Malaysians get defaulted to the NA datacenter. Of course students like me travelling to and fro UK (Europe) and Malaysia get shafted because we can NOT use our EU copies during summer holidays with the current policy in place.

Haha my mistake sorry smile.gif. It's kinda bad for you but ArenaNet is coming up a solution for people like you. No Worries! biggrin.gif
