sure got delay la, but wont be that bad. based on my experience in the original guild wars, the delay is less than 1 second. and in crowded area about 1 sec. it's playable la. they have quality servers and connectivity.

Currently I can get the book via a trader around RM180 each excluding local shipping, i think it will reach just a shy off RM200 with local shipping included, tho only me and tanleeseng is able to stomach that price.

To give a clearer picture, the book costs 30USD.
30USD = RM102 via google currency covert.
so the shipping is nearly the same cost of the book itself.

btw i wan to buy the book oso
but sigh ,yea the shipping is almost same like the book at penny arcade online store , free shipping within US

finished reading.
seems like got 10 slot for skills now.
lots of players have been whining for this for a long time.

but the first five skill slots is decided by what weapon the player is holding though.

that leaves only remaining 5 for player customization.
5 instead of 8.
bah.

Well previously some essential skills pretty much take 2-3 slots of the total 8 slots.

You're looking at it wrong.

The 5 slots tied to a weapon probably mean that those skills are tied to a weapon... But you can still customize those skills.

Reading through their posts in the forum and interviews, they justify it quite well.

Also, no more secondary profession... They'll use the races instead to provide secondary abilities.

I'm really looking forward to this game... I played the first one a bit late and didn't have much of a group. That cannot be repeated for the 2nd one.

5 slots tied to a weapon type. So we can customize the 5 weapon slots too?

10 slots : 5 for weapon, 1 for healing, 1 for elite, another 3 normal skill.

Can't say it's bad. At least now it's more flexible.

It's very exciting....

Added on April 30, 2010, 1:13 amPart Two of the combat system

Hmm... Cross Profession Combo... Now that sounds really interesting.

Elemetalist : Fire Wall !!
Warrior : Cyclone Axe !!

Together : Ba-ning-gu Sai-klon A-ta-ku (Burning Cyclone Attack) !!!

This part really has some Super Robot War flavour. laugh.gif

A bit sad that they took out the secondary profession which make your personal skill setup somewhat restricted but then again... this also make GW1 unique game on it's own since both are utilizing totally different battle system.

The skills tied to your weapon just means that your weapon will occupy 5 slots of its own. For that 5 slots, you can customize which weapon skills to use.

So, unlike before where each skill was tied to an attribute, you'll probably have some that are still like that, and some that are tied to a weapon as well.

so anyone pre-recruiting / forming a local guild for guild wars 2?
or most ppl will just follow their old guilds?

deng, my old guild is deserted, not much active people.
i was guild leader (passed down by my bro) and i end up buying all the furniture for my guild.

Noob question, you need to buy GW1 in order to play GW2? or GW2 totally a new standalone game? hmm.gif

After quitting WoW, still try to find a new MMO to fill in, new Final Fantasy looks good but long way to go, this one, estimation release date?
