hi guys. need some help about tenancy agreement. usually my family will ask the law firm to prepare the agreement between us and the tenants. however for some unknown reason i was suddenly elected to DIY everything.......haih. i don't know heads nor tails about it so i'm wondering if any of you guys can guide me on this. i have the original agreement which i can do changes to the date etc but what about signing? need witness? stamp duty? etc...hope someone can help.

normally all the agreements were fake documents ...just keep to scare the tenants ...

Nobody do it for real ... Unless involving more than RM10,000 in monthly rent ...

1. print 2 copy of agreements. 1 copy for tenant. 1 copy for you. make sure the details in the agreement is correct

2. for signing, 2 person from tenant side (main tenant & witness) and 2 person from owner side (main owner & yourself also can).

3. go to LHDN for stamping both agreements

4. then give one copy to your tenant

5. cross your finger hoping tenant will pay the rental on time tongue.gif

agree with next stream...just to add be careful with the details esp yje tenancy details as well as the renewal options....
