The purpose of putting this foam is not preventing sound going out, it is to kill the echo in the room. We need to clarify about this first.

You may stick using Dunlop glue on wall. For kara Room, putting at 4 walls may make sound too dry for you, may be you want to put on ceiling will do. After all kara singer like to have strong strong echo><. Hence i not really see the point to have a strong acoustic treated room..

Added on December 7, 2011, 9:07 am This is a big aspect. basically you need to have concrete wall, you may put a layer of gymson board, follow by plywood, follow by a layer of foam, treat your window and door with rubber to cover all the hole, if you play heavy bass song, you may need to raise your room floor with platform and a thick layer of rubber at bottom, etc.

This foam in a way absorb plenty of mid and high frequency but bass travel through floor, hence, you need special treatment if you play a lot of techno stuff ><
