Hi, the main purpose of these foam are to kill the reverb in room so that you can listen to dry true sound.

Thanks

Hi Bro EngBok, sorry for asking noob question, should i place this acoustic foam all over the wall behind speakers? or just 1 or 2 of standard size?

been studying through forums and articles still couldn't find out how should I utilize them.. sad.gif

also should i go for http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...19&hl=wallcover this or just normal Fabric Wall Covering aka wallpaper for better absorption?
*
Hi, the rule of thumb is more acoustic foam you place, the more dead of room (less echo). So it depend on how dead you want your room is.

You may start with placing on the wall behind and in between the speaker to kill the sound rebound from wall first. If you are not happy, continue with 2 side wall and back wall, then the ceiling etc.

Thanks

What kind of "job done" did you mean? treating sound?

Thanks!
*
Yes my friend, kills reverb/echo in the room. It is good in aborbing high * mid frequency, causing no re-bounce from wall.

Thanks

QUOTE(JoelS @ Sep 16 2012, 03:31 PM)
Heya,

I have a room 12' by 10 feet. One side of the wall (10.5') is not really a wall, just curtain acting as a room divider. Directly opposite it is a wall with window. How many pieces do I need?

I plan to use this for my workstation. I have a pair of dynaudio bm6a's, no subwoofer which I use for basic sound design work.
I'm not really interested in sound proofing the room. I simply want to reduce sound reflection as much as possible and economically. These should work just nice right?

Please PM me quote for recommended pieces and how much is shipping to KL?

Thank you!

Joel S

Indeed, this foam is to use for reducing room reverb aka echo to make the room sound dead, instead of sound proofing. The foam size is 72" (Inches) X 20" X 2" thick. Kindly do your own measurement.

PM the price to you right away.
