my dad's house using 3+2+1 leather (half i think) sofa...no A/C in living hall, hot as hell...yes, i think i can confirm leather sofa in non-A/C environment will be quite hot...tho i'm not sure what type of leather the sofa uses...
i think u need to go to reputable shops to get good quality stuffs...from my experience, shud not go to that shop who let their price do the talking...i bot a 'leather' recliner from them few years back - originally wanted a RM200 fabric recliner as advertised in newspaper but after much persuasion by the sales man, i ended up paying RM850 for the so-called leather recliner.
the recliner came blazing hot, i tot it was becos it was exposed to the direct sun while on its way here on the lorry...my room A/C is always on..but even after few weeks 'exposed' in a fully A/C room, the recliner still gets very hot after 30mins or so sitting on it...
worse still, after 1 year or so, the springs underneath the reclining mechanism literally starts popping out one after another...
number 1, i'm not entirely convinced what i bot was actually 'good quality' leather as claimed by the sales person, in fact, i don't think its leather at all but i dunno of a way to prove it...
secondly, the quality of the mechanisms...hrrrmm..
i'll never buy anything there anymore...
