QUOTE(arremie @ Aug 17 2009, 04:39 PM) u need to take 7 days mc from posting arremie, anyway, anyone knows if its normal to receive late package from amazom UK. i have 10 titles in 2 packages still not here and already been a week since the estimated delivery date. a few other packages with 1 to 3 titles per package already received. how long should i wait before making complaint to amazon. all i use royal airmail shipping. You can already send out a complaint but you will receive a std reply from them asking u to wait, and normally a couple of more weeks. I would also advise you to go check wth the post office that ur parcels are normally sent to if there is no one at home to receive it. It is possible that reminder was "accidently" not sent... |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Aug 20 2009, 07:08 AM) I found out how to differentiate the local release, saw them at Speedy Ikano. The blue stickers that says something like "Plays of Blu-ray Players & PlayStation 3 Only", the local release it's not a sticker, it's printed as part of the cover, you can't remove it. These are ones in the buy 2 free 1 promotions. From quick look, all of them is only BD25. For example I, Robot that has no big bonus features is 50GB in US release but this local one is 25GB only. Be careful guys. Do check out Antonio Forcione's Quartet as a concert recording its really good.Added on August 20, 2009, 7:15 amBy the way, AQ for David Foster is not that great to me. It's good, but there are many better ones like Dave Matthews, Celine Dion, David Gilmour, Legends of Jazz, John Mayer, Chris Botti, etc. Among the concerts that I have the Dave Matthews and John Mayer are the best. Also have u received ur Divermenti? I just found out that the 875 will not accept a Dolby TrueHD 192kHz source, u might need to use the LPCM on that BD. Also that the 875 downsamples DTSHDMA of 192kHz to 96kHz. In terms of AQ this is the reference disc for me now. |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Aug 20 2009, 11:07 AM) I forgot to order the Divermenti, should've ordered together with the Band of Brothers. They fixed it in the 876 but Audyssey is not engaged for 192kHz as there is not enuf processing power. But there is no downsampling and it can take all Dolby TrueHD, DTSHDMA and LPCM at 192kHz.Really? I thought it can accept 192kHz. Do other receivers having the same issue? Denon can do it but I am not sure if the lower end models can. 875 can accept LPCM at 192kHz but Audyssey will not be engaged. There is a restriction for most of the AVRs as it is due to processing power. I believe the sets from this year might be less prone to this. |

QUOTE(jchong @ Aug 24 2009, 02:53 PM) Those reviews are for the DVD version. See the dates, all so old one. Also, the blu ray Gladiator is only available starting 1 Sep 2009 so how can those customers review something that isn't out yet. The BD reviews for Gladiator and Braveheart are out for DVD Beaver. Follow links belowActually Amazon shouldn't have put the DVD reviews under the blu ray version. Gladiator BD Review DVDBeaver Braveheart BD Review DVD Beaver |

To those who like romantic comedies, watch Ghost Town, good acting by Greg Kinnear and Ricky Gervais...AQ not too bad for a rom com, PQ pretty good. Its still a rom com, so u know the ending.... I normally don't recommend rom coms but Greg Kinnear was pretty good in this one. When will they bring "As Good as it Gets" to BD. Jack Nicholson was hilarous in this one, another exception... |

QUOTE(fadthil @ Sep 6 2009, 01:39 PM) As far as DNR goes, it's there, but not employed so excessively that the actors look like wax figures moving through a Roman tableau at Madame Tussaud's. Facial features can look a bit smooth and at times lack the striking detail we expect from Blu-ray, but plenty of close-ups are razor sharp and absolutely stunning. Waxy faces are a real put off. Dark City is a prime example...Does this mean if they do a replacement disc, it's gonna be grained....? |
